I recently had a disastrously unpleasant experience with the Enterprise branch in Eureka, and I feel compelled to share my grievances to prevent others from suffering a similar fate. My ordeal began with a confirmed reservation, which I foolishly assumed would guarantee me a rental car. Little did I know, the branch manager had other plans. Despite being the sole customer in the branch and witnessing a plethora of rental cars idly occupying the lot, the branch manager outright refused to honor my reservation. Their excuse? None was offered, except for a cold shoulder and dismissive attitude. When I attempted to address the issue, both the manager and their staff exhibited an astonishing level of rudeness, blatantly ignoring my inquiries and concerns. Even more frustrating was their refusal to provide any official statements or explanations, cowardly shirking accountability for their unprofessional behavior. Instead, they callously shifted the blame onto me, alleging that I should have followed up with a phone call after receiving my online confirmation. As if it were my responsibility to micromanage their incompetence. To add insult to injury, I had to endure a grueling 20-mile bike ride from McKinleyville to the branch, only to find myself stranded in the dark on the desolate 101 highway, courtesy of Enterprise's utter lack of empathy. Despite my vulnerable situation, not a single offer was made to provide transportation, leaving me to fend for myself in the cold, unforgiving night. This abysmal experience not only disrupted my immediate plans but also had ripple effects on my entire business trip, which relied heavily on the availability of a rental car. As if navigating the intricacies of corporate accounts and arranging transportation weren't stressful enough, Enterprise's incompetence managed to compound my woes exponentially. In conclusion, the Enterprise branch in Eureka epitomizes everything one should avoid in a service provider: arrogance, apathy, and an utter disregard for customer satisfaction. Save yourself the anguish and steer clear of this establishment at all costs.

Five stars solely to the guys that were there helping the day I picked up my rental. I reserved a car 3 months in advance prior to a long road trip. The online process was super easy, but I realized (as I sat in the office for an hour after my scheduled pickup time), that the online system can really complicate things. The employees were transparent when they said that they had 50+ reservations that day (March 22nd) and only around 20 cars available. They told everyone in the office that they were going to do the best that they could do- and they did! I was lucky enough to be in a position where I was not in a huge rush to leave town immediately, so I did not mind the wait but I know not everyone was in the same position. The employees on the phone were diplomatic considering this situation was completely out of their control. They need more cars available and the online reservation system needs to be figured out. I would not have been happy if there wasn't a car available, and that was the case for many that day. Evan D was beyond helpful and apologetic as he set me up with my rental. He seemed knowledgeable and was respectful to the not so happy customers on the phone, just from what I was overhearing in the lobby. Overall, I think this place has potential but management should truly look in to getting more cars and fixing up the online reservations. The employees in the office are put in a tough position by having to turn away customers, especially those that had pre-existing reservations and pre made plans!

Terribly disorganized and very rude customer service. Slogan should be "Enterprise will NEVER pick you up because we couldn't care less." Go elsewhere unless you want to be treated like dirt and be told they have no rental cars at the last minute. My friend reserved a car weeks ago only to be told this morning they didn't have it and it was a vacation he'd planned for months. Bad!

I wrecked my car. I had to get a rental. My insurance was taking a day or two. I reserved the car myself. The Enterprise location in Eureka, California worked with me and the insurance. Everything was taken care of. No complaints. They were a great bunch of people to work with.

An excellent car rental experience. Rented a very nice and clean Kia sedan and would recommend it to others.I would like to thank Jonathan as he took my rental back a few minutes after closing time, saving me quite a bit of headache!

ReviewI gave a one star review, and was asked to send additional information by Chris R. Which I see from other reviews is a automated response.Insurance was helping cover the expense of our rental, since our vehicle was in the shop. We were never given a last day coverage, I called every week requesting the information, and was told I would get a call back- never received a call back. I was also never informed of what the total would be; which was unusual but i thought is was because insurance was helping to pay. The final week I called on December 18th, I was informed that December 12th was the last day of coverage. I needed to remove my three children's car seats, and clean the vehicle out before I could bring it in so that would be the next day December 19th 2023. We were given the total of $2317.59. Way out of my budget at the time. I was on disability due to having a baby in October, and this was right before Christmas, and I have three children under five years of age. The associate that was taking care of us took all of this information; that we were never given a total during our initial rental- I could have made an informed decision as to how long I kept the vehicle, as well as I was never given a last day of coverage- in which I had called for the week prior and never given a call back. He was apologetic, and said he would share all this information with his manager (who was not precent, but would be there in the morning), and I would be receiving a call from him in the morning. I asked if I could possible use some of my points in order to offset some of the cost, considering I was never told to return the vehicle the week prior, which was when I was charged the most. He said the manager would be best to help me. I never received a call, and the charges were placed on my credit card. In my experience with Enterprise my family has always been taken care of. Not only when we found marijuana in the vehicle after traveling across the state with our children- we received a discount, and an apology. We have always received upgrades because we were renting a lot of vehicles at that time. I expected at the very least a call, and an attempt to fix this issue . Especially when I had called the week prior for the date to return. This was the worst experience I had with enterprise in the last eight years of returning this company for rentals. This cost me an additional $1,000, than what I had assumed it would have.

Once again Enterprise saved the day by putting me in a rental with only a half hours notice. The Eureka branches employees are always happy, upbeat, and go out of their way to make sure I’m taken care of in a very professional manner.

After being accused of wrecking a cars windshield, lying about it, being told enterprise wasn't going to issue me another rental until I filed their negligence with my insurance company AND when I tried to reason with him git thrown out and told to return the keys to the one I was returning, I'm surprised I just had to get back in there and let them have every opportunity to turn me aside again. And what the he'll, the slogan "we'll pick you up"....yhey didn't

Great team here! Jonathan was stellar and helped me reduce my bill total lower than what was originally quoted to me. Would keep coming back anytime I need a rental from the area.

Ended up cancelling my rental for reasons unrelated to the guys here, but the guys here were super helpful. It was packed when I went in to set up my reservation, but Johnny helped me and made the whole process incredibly easy. He ended up also helping me when I had to cancel the reservation, I felt bad for doing it after the hassle of setting it up but he assured me that it was no problem. Can't say enough good things about Johnny, I would definitely go straight to him for setting up any future rentals

Food was decent but not great. Service was good if not a little slow. Not bad but there are better options.
