Always interesting to visit the Clark Museum. They go out of their way to put together historically accurate displays & vignettes with great details, stories & information. Many of the people I've encountered at the museum are well informed & a wealth of information about local history, events of yesteryear, important people & families that helped create & contributed to the rich history of this area. The Clark Museum has a wonderful collection of local Native American baskets, tools & artifacts on display. They also create outstanding temporary displays of industries, business celebrations, politics, transportation, education, social events, entertainment & daily life from years ago in the Heart of the Redwoods & on the North Coast.I always enjoy touring the museum & learn something new every time I visit.

Great spot with rotating art exhibits in the lobby area and historical exhibits in the main museum. A great place to see local baskets from the area's tribes.

The opening hours listed are wrong. We'd already decided to skip this museum, as we were so tired from a day of sight-seeing. However, we ended up accidently walking by it while strolling through town, and it was still open after 4 PM, so we decided to go inside. And I'm so glad that we ended up visiting by sheer coincidence, as this turned out to the only noteworthy attraction, in this otherwise boring and sketchy city. They have one of the largest and finest collections of California tribal artifacts in the state. The historic home and Native American exhibits were by far the highlights of this museum. The price is very reasonable for what there is to see, and it absolutely should not be missed when visiting Eureka.

I have visited the Clarke Museum many times over the years, I love to stop by whenever I'm in Old Town. Recently I was fortunate enough to hold a special event at the museum for my company and I could not give them high enough praise! The setting was beautiful and my guests could peruse all the exhibits while celebrating. The staff and volunteers went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Thank you!

I came specifically to see the special marble exhibit going on now, but did take the time to do a little more looking around. This museum is a treasure of all things Eureka! I learned some things-always a joy-and, when I had questions, the curator, David, took time to answer them thorough and to show me other things he thought I might enjoy. How very nice to find someone who loves his work, is knowledgeable, and willing to share. Altogether, a wonderful time!
