“My Dodge had a check engine light come on, so I took it to the Dodge dealership and they said I needed a new crank case and clean out my EGR system. They quoted me $985. So I took my truck to Humboldt Performance Automotive in Eureka. They said I needed to do those two things as well and they quoted me $297!!! If you have a Dodge truck and it needs repair, take it to Humboldt Performance Automotive. This is the second time they quoted me far less than the dealership and they do great work!”

“I have been going to Eureka Brake for about 3 years now. I trust them with all my car needs. I think they charge a bit more than other shops, but it is worth it to get good car service. Bill and Bryna in particular are very patient and have good customer service. Bill even took a faulty part from my car one time and showed me why it wasn't working. For me, a car dummy, this was very helpful.

“I am a single women who was looking for break pads rodars calibers for an older truck. I had taken my truck to another shop first because I thought that this was a standard job that most shops do for about the same price. I was extremely wrong about this. The firSt shop was asking 3200.00 dollars. I took it to another shop that said they would do the same work for 1000.00 dollars less. My father who lives across the country explained to me what I should be paying and told me I would be foolish to pay this. I found Wayne from a friend and called him. He quoted me a number much less and wound up doing the same work for less then he quoted me and all together for 2000.00 dollars less. I can't even began to understand this. My father who is a good mechanic said that's an honest number take my truck back there and have him do all the other little things I want done. I will do this. This is I believe the second review I have ever written. I just want to thank Wayne as much as I can.”

“These folks are good at listening so they are more inclined to find the items you need. The prices are comparable to other auto parts stores but the service sets them apart. Maybe not as knowledgeable as Napa, but, they are happy to find the parts and solutions. Good customer service goes a long way!”

“Wow! I was in big trouble. I was traveling out of town (I'm from Reno, NV)! My 2002 GMC Yukon died in the middle of an active downtown street in Eureka, CA. I called several shops but they could not get to me for over a week. When I called Marshall's Auto Repair, I explained my situation to them. I was not expecting priority treatment being from out of town. The owner, and his son, were AWESOME! They got my car in, confirmed my suspicion that it was a fuel pump, and repaired it. They were kind, sympathetic, professional, personal, and fair-priced. Seriously, if I lived in this area, I would NEVER go anywhere else. They are my new heroes! 10 Stars from me! I could not have been more impressed or more thankful.”

“I cannot speak highly enough of Ken Gordon, Operations Manager, and his crew in the service department at McCrea Subaru. While on a family road trip to the Redwoods from Las Vegas, Nevada, almost every light on our dashboard lit up. A local mechanic couldn't diagnose the issue properly and recommended McCrea Motors. We had already extended our trip due to a failed wheel bearing further up the coast, so this latest issue was unwelcome. Knowing how busy dealership service departments can get, I anticipated needing to find accommodations in Eureka for an unplanned night or two.
Mr. Gordon greeted my family warmly, and it was clear he genuinely didn't want us stranded. His team diagnosed the problem (issues with cam positioning solenoids) within minutes and even pulled up a map to suggest nearby lunch spots, ice cream parlors, and a waterfront walk while we waited. A couple of hours later, Mr. Gordon called with the solution, we settled the bill, and we were back on our journey home.
Aware that we'd been driving all night, Mr. Gordon phoned the next morning to ensure we had arrived home safely. His service department excelled in honesty, professionalism, and efficiency. Their friendliness, empathy, and genuine care surpassed our expectations.
Based on our experience, if you need vehicle service, McCrea Subaru's service department will take excellent care of you.”
