Grindstone wines are excellent and every one of our visits to the winery tasting room has been extremely enjoyable. Tierney and Molly always make us feel welcome with their hospitality and friendliness providing wine tastings. The winery tasting room is a beautiful modern farmhouse and the outdoor seating area is expansive and comfortable. I also highly recommend joining the Grindstone Wine Club.

Every time we go it's like a family reunion. This farming family really knows how to make you feel welcome. They started out small and relied on a couple of their favorites. They just recently started planting new varietals and I cant wait to taste them. Whether it's a food truck day or music in the park, the environment is warming, relaxing, the guests are friendly and quite charming. Definitely a must stop if in the area, or if not, just get there. You won't be disappointed. Wine club is a solid option too.

I went to Grindstone to attend a wedding in October. The venue seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere and I wasn’t sure what to expect. You arrive to gorgeous trees and views of the mountains. The reception was in a garden area surrounded by tall juniper trees that gave it an intimate setting with string lights. The area is grassy so do not wear stilettos like I did! This location is absolutely perfect for weddings, I was very impressed!

Grindstone is a little oasis in the area and the wines they offer are great as there are so many options to choose from. Whites, roses and reds are all good. They also have mimosa flights with interesting flavors. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. Tell them what you are looking for and they can help you.Depending on when you are there they have food trucks or when there is not an event you can bring your own food.We have also seen a couple of good musicians/bands. We recently enjoyed "The Love and Solo Duo.

My private chef catering company Food Simply had the privilege of catering a 4 course dinner at Grindstone Winery and we only have amazing things to say about this winery and family! Everyone there was incredibly helpful, friendly, and so generous! The wine is delicious and the ambiance of the location doesnt get better! I highly recommend you check out this winery and make sure to meet the family! They have an amazing story!

I stopped while on a leisurely roadtrip on the 5 and I was not disappointed. The grounds and tasting room were nice-looking. The view of the vineyards was wonderful. The tasting room manager was very friendly and shared information on the wines and the area during the tasting, which was very interesting. They happened to be pouring a number of white wines that day, which isn't always the norm. But I love white wines, so I came the right day. All of the wines I tried were great. The white wines were mostly light, dry and not too sweet. The cab blend was also very summer friendly. I especially enjoyed their rose. They have Mimosa flights, using their sparkling viogner (!) I purchased a bottle of the viogner to try at home for brunch and it is lovely. I would definitely return on my next drive down the 5, or if I see any of their wines out in the "wild".

Excellent wine, beautiful facility, and friendly/knowledgeable customer service. It is a family-owned/run operation which made for an extra pleasant experience because the family took the time to explain the history of the winery and the property. We really enjoyed tasting wines; we purchased a couple of bottles; and we plan on returning as often as possible.

A (slightly) hidden gem! What a delightful visit! The wines were delicious, and Tierney and Molly are the epitome of hospitable cousins! The re-purposed original farmhouse has been beautifully restored; the entire facility is top-notch inside and out.Well worth the short side trip... We just stopped by on our way up north, but this would be great for a mid-trip picnic, or even a more structured social event.Make sure you take either the Road 19 exit from I5 North, or the Road 14 exit coming south; then the east frontage road to Road 16 in between.. which has an overpass, but no exit. You will NOT be disappointed!

What a magical place to host a wedding! I had the recent pleasure of photographing this venue, and it's such a lovely spot. It feels so peaceful and private out in the country side. The main lawn with the grand cypress trees give a feel of intimacy and closeness while the surrounding vineyard and hill views and the perfect backdrop for portraits! Grindstone is a beautifully kept blank slate that is easily transformed for any celebration. I hope to photograph these beautiful grounds again!
