The cashier named Nicole was super helpful and friendly! She was a sweetheart and made our day. We had selected jewelry and left it in a basket up at the front, but another worker had already put it all back because they thought we took too long. She took the time to help us pick it out again from the displays. She’s a gem of an employee!

This is a good thrift store. Very Similar to shopping at an AmVets or Disabled American Veterans Thrift store. They have a large selection of clean shoes in every size. There is a lot of deeply discounted, “brand used” clothing, and new without tags items. Be aware of the replica Nike jackets… The logos are decent, but the interior tags are a joke and can pass for personal use only!Planning your trip:This store is very popular from the minute it opens until the late afternoon. Even weekdays.New items are stocked each day, the best time to shop is store opening. There is a large, private parking lot that is almost always full. The point of sale is slow. For business day transactions be prepared to wait in line 5-10 minutes. This organization accepts material donations that are tax deductible.

Can find cool stuff, but not much of a thrift store, items can be very expensive if not on sale. This place is for profit only. Gets very crowded and disorganized. On top of that most non clothing items will likely ruined by a permanent marker price mark or sticky glue residue from the tape and price stickers they use.

Another day of Valley thrift charging DOUBLE of what you can buy new. Why would I pay $20 for a bottle of developer when I can buy the same exact one new at sally beauty for $11?

I absolutely love this place. It can be a bit disorganized at times and the staff seems a bit overwhelmed but you could definitely find what you're looking for. If you look if you are looking for clothing, this is your place to go. They pretty much have everything the prices are decent, it can get very crowded. I recommend going at a time when there's not that many people there like during the week. There needs to be more places like this around San Diego with affordable clothing for everyone.

Used to be nice back before thrifting was a "trend" but they abused that and now everything in there is so expensive and the money goes to the money hungry people who own the store, not to any good cause or anything like that. This place rips you off.

Just an update review:Beware that their 50% day is hardly a sale. I come here very often so I know!!!! You'll find out that only about 5% of goods are actually half off. Don't kill yourself fighting traffic or getting in line to be disappointed. Many of their shoes don't have price tags and when I asked for help with the price, 2 of their employees literally said they couldn't help me with it, but offered no solution as who could. What is that supposed to mean? How are they supposed to sell without prices?A lot of their items are more expensive than new ones from a brand store so before getting all excited that you get a great deal, check the websites. And you can return goods at the regular store. Who wants to spend a similar amount of money for used items???? This is NOT a thrift store, it is a discount store and there is a difference. Shame on them for jacking up the prices. People come here to save and if VT is smart enough, they'd keep the prices reasonable and sell with volumes. Previous review:It used to have decent prices for a thrift store to buy decent pieces of clothing that don't look like rags, but lately their prices have gone up so much to the point that I wonder if it's worth going there. Even on days that they have 50% off, I could hardly find anything that's worth rummaging through hundreds of items to buy. The people who work there don't look happy, except for the curly haired young man and a couple of super young girls. The selection is kind of boring recently, too, with the same items. Parking is another issue. They do have a lot of spots but depends on the time of the day, good luck finding one for yourself.

Valley Thirft had great things for cheap if you can find them. But what gets me everytime is how they TAX you when it's a cash only establishment! Should be TAX free. Who knows how much they're putting under the table here. Sketchy.

Huge selection of denim jeans and clothing. They only accept cash and lines can get pretty long to check out. Since covid they've been upping they're prices a lot but certain days they have discounts on different itemsParking can get chaotic since the lot is small

Love shopping at this store. Has name brand items at fraction of the cost. Bought a Guess halter top still with original tags for less than $10. Been shopping here for years.

This store is atrocious. All of the EBay resellers, pickers, scavengers stand in front of the counters all day from opening to closing and by the back doors. They attack buyers, workers for the things that they want. It is impossible to get anything here without being abused by all of them. They attack the girls at the front cashiers, elbow the regular store patrons and push them out of the way to get what they want. Disgusting!!! I wish management would do something about it. Especially at the front of the store where the jewelry is.

It was my first time at this thrift store. I waited 25 min to find parking and 25 min to check out only to find out it's cash only. What a huge hustle! They conveniently have an atm (surcharge included) for your convenience of course It makes it hard to be impulsive here.

We have been coming here for years and have never had an experience like this before. Getting to the front of the line to checkout, the employee working the first register just stared at us, refused to help us or tell us which register to go to. Literally just staring at us refusing to speak. This caused an issue/conflict at the counter with none of us knowing where to go and no one with an open register calling us over. The woman at the first register with a smug smile on her face. She clearly enjoyed causing other people stress. The employees here have always been a bit rude (I.e. shoving past people and nearly running people over with the mobile racks) but nothing like this has happened before now.
