I went to this post office on March 11, 2024 to buy 40 stamps to mail invitations for a solemn occasion. There was a poor selection: stamps with flags, stamps with piñatas and stamps with the character Buzz Lightyear. I was very disappointed with the selection, but I had a deadline for the mailing.

Incredibly lazy staff. I don’t ship things often and I use the Post Office to ship things even less. But today I thought I’d go there since it’s closer to home. I waited in line and specifically looked for instructions or anything that I needed to fill out. There was nothing. I got to the agent and they told me I had to write the To / From details on the box. So I did and got back in line. I got the front and the same agent told me that I didn’t put the information in the correct place in the box. He could have easily told me that when I was at the counter originally. But there is no accountability and no motivation to provide even basic customer service. And this review won’t give them any accountability either.

Randy saw me looking at package sizes, obviously confused, and called me over to help walk me through the self service kiosk. I didn't realize how easy sending packages was, but after his help I feel like I could come back and do it myself easily next time. This location was very peaceful with a short line and friendly staff. Thanks Randy!

Always polite and efficient.I like the music. Only problem is when they are understaffed and you end up waiting in line.

While the employees seem fine, they play Christian, religious music very loudly inside the business. I had to wait in line for almost 15 minutes listening to “praise the lord” music. Is this even legal as a government agency?

Dropped off several flat rate boxes to ship across country. They were pretty heavy, 40ish lbs. I went back out to the car to bring in the next batch and saw/heard one of the post office employees whining/grunting/groaning picking the boxes up and full on THROWING them into a metal crate. All 3 just smashing on top of each other. I’m praying they make it to their final destination safely. If they’re damaged in transit, it most certainly began here. I can only hope whoever handles these packages on the remainder of their journey is more careful…

Wish I could give zero stars. We opened a PO box here a few months ago and have had nothing but problems.1. When we opened the box, they sent back several of our letters and packages because someone gave us the key but never officially set the box up for us. Had to wait in line to figure it out2. Multiple times, we have had a package that was "delivered" only to be told to go to the front desk and pick it up because they are too understaffed to sort the boxes. I don't know, maybe don't say it was delivered to my PO box then?3. You have a 50/50 chance of getting an incredibly rude employee.4. I have a time sensitive package that has been "delivered" to my PO box (tracking number says delivered to parcel locker). Went to pick it up, wasn't there. Went to front desk, and they wouldn't even go look for it. Said that they had until 11 to sort packages. Totally understandable, just don't scan the package in as delivered to my PO box if it isn't.This is just a small taste of my horrific experience here. We have to keep the PO box another month, but if you are considering going here, you will save time and money going to a different location. This one needs to be closed down.

I’m gonna have to move my PO Box to another location. Packages have been left unsorted for a week or more, and according to staff, it’s because they “don’t have enough staff, and we don’t have time!” in a loud and very rude tone of voice. I shouldn’t have to wait a week or more to pick up a package that arrived a week or more ago. Totally unacceptable.Rethinking being one of the people who fought to keep this post office open when it was designated to be closed

Playing Christian music in a federal building. Illegal and disrespectful to the majority of escondido public who is not Christian as well as the founding principles of the federal insitution

Usually, the post office makes me sad, but Jason encouraged me to use the self-checkout today (and held my hand the whole way through, bahahaha), and it was easy as pie. He’s so kind and helpful!!! And patient! Thank you Jason, for the extraordinary service???

Workers are constantly gossiping and have been rude to me, avoid this post office at every single cost.

Fairly decent post office. Stopped in here while driving through Escondido because I needed a specific size box for Priority Mail. An employee helped me find the size I was looking for, which I appreciate. The post office itself was a little hard to locate because it's in a strip mall and looks like any other store. I'm used to post offices being separate buildings. That also creates more potential for lack of parking, since so many other businesses are located right next to it. Overall, just so-so.

I want to comment on the service provided by Maria at the Escondido Post Office on Escondido Blvd. Maria went out of her way to assist my efforts at mailing a certified letter on Saturday just before the post office closed for the day. She was calm, pleasant, and explained everything I needed to know. Thanks, Maria; you made my day.
