This Home Depot is one of the better ones in our area! I don't know why the reviews don't collectively reflect that. Have used them a few times for store pick up and it was easy peasy. The stuff has been friendly, and the store appears organized and clean. Highly recommend this location versus the other ones near and in Escondido.

Frequently hard to find someone to help, items that show up on the app are out of stock or under-stocked, woodtop toolboxes left out in the elements to fall apart but still full price, tiny fastener selection (especially metric), tweakers hanging out in the parking lot, employees who don't have training on machines being expected to man them or haven't been issues equipment for tasks they're expected to perform....The list goes on. I still go now and then if I need something in a hurry but honestly even the San Marcos location ten minutes away is a better option, let alone the other hardware stores in the area.

Very disappointed with the customer service or lack thereof at the Garden Center. I purchased 20 bags of Vigoro black mulch yesterday @ $2.50/bag (on sale) at the Mira Mesa Home Depot location. I needed to purchase an additional 20 bags at the west escondido Home Depot (closer to home) and they would not match the price. There was no attempt to contact a manager to confirm. I'm sure they would have no problem "price matching" a competitor like Lowe's... but we're talking another Home Depot store 5 miles down the road. The attitude of their employees of one of indifference... Needless to say, I went back to Mira Mesa and didn't spend a dime at this store. Do better by your customers Home Depot West Escondido.

I purchased a $400 tool box, I stated I would need help getting it in my vehicle, the cashier said pull up outside in front of the tool boxes that are chained up. I did just that and waited for 20 min, I went back inside, it turns out she never called for a helper she assured me that help is on the way, 30 min later I decided to see if the chest was really chained up. Turns out only the outside chests are chained together and the inside ones you can pick up over the chain so I did just that. Luckily a guy was waiting on someone to unlock the rebar and he helped me load the chest. Customer service seems to be lacking.

(video attached below) - I ordered an Outdoor Heater on-line. When I had not received it for some time, I looked at my account, and it stated it was delivered. When I checked my Nest camera - what you will see is a delivery truck drive on my grass at 11:30 at night, taking out 4 boxes that seem to be heaters, just not mine. After some time trying to find mine, came to the realization that mine wasn't there. Threw the 4 boxes (yes, threw) back in the truck, and proceeded to leave. I assume he checked off that my heater was delivered. The frustrating thing is I had to call customer service twice, and both agents insinuated I was lying. The agent said they were no longer able to deliver the heater to my address and that if I wanted one would need to go to the store to buy one. Here is a link to the delivery person and the lack of delivery. Shame on Home Depot. video.nest.com/clip/444f…

Terribly disorganized store. The saw to cut wood was broken. Hard to find anyone to help you and returns are on the complete opposite side of the store as checkout. Cannot recommend this location

An absolute 5 starts+ to this location and Angel of course! I hope the store manager, Vida sees this review. I am sharing my absolute gratitude to Angel in the Home and Gardening department. When my husband and I purchased our new home, we were quoted around $8k or more by landscaping companies for simply planting plants. It seems pretty high as new home owners, but we weren't sure if that was a good deal or not, so we went to a couple of nurseries. The prices went to about $2k-$3k. A little skeptical at this point about the price in plants and labor costs - we continued to shop. After some good ole' YouTube and some enthusiastic ambition, we took a trip to Home Depot and met the Plant Legend himself - Angel! His name couldn't be any more suiting! He helped us find the perfect, drought resistant plants that look absolutely beautiful in our home. He patiently walked us through each step to get it right! He literally spent an hour with us, educating us on proper care and maintenance. He helped make it really easy, especially for me, since I have a horrible curse of basically looking at a plant, and it dies! Yikes! Not these plants though! We literally walked out spending under $300 for the plants and couldn't be happier! They are such great quality, and I love the Home Depot policy. Keep the containers, and if they don't work out within a year, you can take them back for a replacement or a refund! Seriously, couldn't be happier! Thanks Home Depot Escondido! Especially Angel!

8/24/2022 Our garage door opener wore out after 11 years. Connie at Home Depot was a great help to Grandpa and took extra care to insure that it would be installed quickly. Their contracted installer Kyle really knew his trade. I remarked how quiet the new opener is, and he said that everyone notices the difference. He also gave me tips on the way to attach the safety handle so that burglars can't reach it, and the proper bulb to use.

I frequently visit the location on the East side of town, but I'm constantly at different Home Depot's in San Diego so it doesn't make much a difference to me. Last time I was at this one I was VERY impressed by the upper inventory in the plumbing areas. The East location is a mess compared to here. It's very common to ask an employee to grab more from above and I can tell it would be a quick find. At other locations It's a strain to locate extra inventory because of how much a mixed mess it is. Check out the pic in this review and compare it to other locations. Bravo to W Valley Home Depot.

This review is for the employee Anthony in the rental center. I have never received better service in my years of shopping Home Depot than he provided. He was helpful, extremely friendly, and made sure I knew how to use the equipment I was renting. You've got one hell of an employee

While the have good prices the customer service is not up to par. When asked where something was 2 people sent me in the wrong direction. I believe it all comes down to poor management and lack of training. Twice this week I have seen excess water draining into the parking lot. If we are in a drought this should be managed as well. At the very least control the water runoff.

Very helpful employees, especially Veronica at the Pro Checkout - my husband and I came in this morning, because we were having issues with an online order payment glitch (we had a 5% off discount offer when you pay with the HD Pro credit card, but the online checkout kept removing the discount once we entered his card as the payment method). Veronica spent a lot of time with us at checkout getting it sorted out, which she did, and was very sweet and patient (I would have probably given up long before, and told the customer "sorry, it doesn't work" )
