Fing idiots. Three kinds of appointments. Well, sick and emergency. They can’t help you if you’re not there for the “right kind” of appointment. Ridiculous!!!

I am a registered vet tech but I am currently following another career path right now but that basically means I know the ins and outs and personally VETCO has been great to me. I have lived it first hand to take care of animals that came into my clinic and the way I portrayed myself and they do a great job with all of that here. They do a good job at looking at my cat thoroughly and they aren't trying to sell you stuff you don't need like some places. With the experience and knowledge I have, I recommend this place. There are some bad reviews and I don't discredit them but personally for me, it's been great so far. Some days are better than others so idk try it out for yourself and don't depend on reviews to choose where to take your animal.

This guy will thankfully soon be a no Ball Paul thanks to these guys. I appreciated the staff from start to finish and the check in to check out process was smooth. We had a first time appointment and consult/schedule for neuter and were able to catch a low murmur that another place may have missed. Great caring staff from the techs to the doctor we saw

Prices aren’t cheap but no vet prices are these days. Staff is friendly, caring, listens attentively to your concerns, etc. one thing I really liked about the vet was I shared the problem I was having with my dog and she told me quite a few different options with a large range of prices. Previous vets I’ve gone to tend to give you one option and have the “take it or leave it” attitude. I also love that this is in petco, so I can do shopping and grooming and vet all in one place. Lastly, their availability for appointments is abundant, so I don’t have to wait if I need something last minute.

I knew the service would be terrible but did not know it would be this bad. I brought in my pet to get an urgent matter addressed and I have been told lies about getting any help. Exam was cut short (Dr did not do full exam, stared at my dog and then me and said what she recommends but did not touch my pet), and the staff was rude and if your pet needs help you are better off going anywhere else. :)

Very disappointed. I have taken my dog here for several years. My vet told me that she would refill his apoquel as needed. My dog is healthy happy and thriving in life. Vet refused to refill his apoquel, although she told me she would always do it. She now will not refill until I bring him in for a checkup. Why would I bring my dog in for a checkup when he is healthy and in a great space, why stress out an animal that doesn't need to be seen? He uses the apoquel as needed and 30 pills last him up to several months. Very frustrated and do not like being lied to and on top of it you want to see him so I pay you a check up fee because you want money. Very unfortunate, but I'm about principle don't tell me one thing and then lie about it.

If you have a pet emergency, call this business right away. They are caring and will help your pet. Vet prices are very high, so apply for care credit on your phone while you wait.

Dr Yamada was kind and professional. She showed compassion to our dog, and gave us tons of recommendations to best help him. They gave us a cost estimate before doing anything, and the cost was very affordable compared to our other vet on Nordahl Rd. I do recommend Vetco. You don't have to have pet insurance, but you can.

Saw very nice and knowledgeable vet and vet tech. Appear to be conservative in their treatments. Prices for tests might be cheaper than vet offices. I would definitely go back. They are open Saturdays and Sundays. They also offer yearly plans so you never have to pay for another vet visit for the entire year!

Every time I try to make an appointment at this location for my pet, I always get a call back and given a lame reason on why my pet can’t be seen here. I then just reschedule the appointment at another vetco, usually the one in San Marcos, and everything goes fine.

Brought our Lilly in for swollen lymph nodes, only to find out she needed teeth extracted. I was nervous about it. They were comforting and reassuring. Great staff. Comparable prices. Lilly is doing great! So glad I brought her in. Thank you.
