I had a good experience here last Sunday. I think the young woman's name was Brianna who assisted me and she was stellar! She was kind, knowledgeable and professional. Now the other female who was working who wore enough makeup to sink a ship was less than kind and really short and curt. She couldn't have been less bothered to ring me up. If she had been there alone I would have walked out never to return. The store was very low on merch. But I found what I needed thanks to the direction of Brianna. I do recommend this Sephora location. But if you run in to Tammy Faye, be warned that you won't feel welcomed.

When I was about 17 I was just learning to do makeup. I had just gotten a job and was able to afford to treat myself. I went inside this Sephora looking for some lipsticks. As I walked in I could feel the judgment of the Sephora employees but that’s just the usual vibe. They were nice enough to ask me and If I needed help, but I said no since I wanted to browse on my own. Unbeknownst to me, I was trying on some lip stain samples. That is when I heard the chuckles of the employees behind me. I wasn’t sure if they were laughing at me or if I was just paranoid. Then I heard an employee say to her coworker “so stupid those are lip stains” and cackle. I guess she thought I couldn’t hear her, but I could. I realized I was trying on lip stains and felt extremely mortified. I left and I have never have gone back to that Sephora. Now, when I go to any makeup store or Sephora I feel extremely anxious, especially if I don’t know what a products is or does.This happened a few years ago, but I felt the need to share it now. I made a rookie mistake at Sephora and that’s okay. Should I have asked for help or clarification? Maybe. I was learning. What was not okay was that employee being rude and laughing at me. I hope she has changed her ways and remembers to treat people kindly. Better yet I hope she doesn’t work with customers anymore.

Horrible experience, I usually go to the UTC Sephora so maybe I've been spoiled by the exceptional service there, even during COVID. First of all, I walked in to this place and was looking around and had to hunt someone down to help me even though I was looking at various products for several minutes. After I hunted a sales person down and explained what I was looking for she helped find some foundation. I told her I'd give it a try then she went to check and they were out... then I got a blank look and silence... so as I'm standing there I look at her and decide to ask if I can order it online then she says yes then starts walking away. Maybe she thought I was going to go home and order it myself? So then I catch up to her and ask her if they can order it for me then she first gives me a surprised look like she was not expecting me to ask that then goes to talk to another associate then after a minute she tells me to go talk to her associate when I'm ready. After that I go to try to order it and turns out they are out online then that is the end of the interaction. Then I had to go try to find random foundations and concealers and they were pretty much out of everything (not her fault) but I spent about 40 minutes at the store looking at different products to see what I could find and I was never approached again by anyone to see if I needed help. Then I walk over to the same sales associate and ask her what is going on or if they're out due to covid and she responds "yes due to covid" then silence, then I ask her if they're getting another shipment soon then she just answers "yes" then silence, then I ask how often they get shipments and she responds with "every two weeks". Then at that point I just give up, pick up some random shades of what they had available, pay for them and leave. I've never experienced this at a Sephora before because the customer service is usually top notch but I've also never shopped at a JC Penny Sephora. These people looked like they did not want to be there and I get that you're out of everything but when it's literally your job to help customers maybe try to be a bit helpful? Otherwise maybe you need to find a different line of business. The store was also not busy, there were about 3 other customers while I was there. I don't enjoy making the drive to UTC from Escondido but rather drive there next time than come back here again.

Went to the store about a month and a half ago with my mom and cousin, and this blonde girl was very rude to my mom. My moms first language is Spanish and she had asked for something and the blonde girl gave my mom attitude, then she spoke spanish after I came to ask her what we needed and quickly changed her attitude

Rather bizarre location, basically a store within a store...? Also a much smaller area than their original location, and it feels cramped even with the reduction in their inventory. Such a shame, as their store used to be one of my favorite places at this mall.

The manager had a terrible attitude. I did not have a good experience and most definitely will not be returning. I highly suggest finding a different location.
