Except for the rain, my dog's vaccinations were great & went very quickly. The clinic staff were super sweet with my crazy puppy.

The scheduling was so easy, they open up the next week’s book the Tuesday before. I brought out two rescued kittens and they took care of us efficiently. It’s so much more convenient and affordable and worth the drive.

My parents found some stray puppies that I dropped off here and everybody was lovely. The place is beautiful and in a beautiful area.

I was driving through on my way home to Fallbrook, and I found a dog walking in the middle of the street about 10 mins away from the Humane Society. Fortunately they were still open and I was able to bring him there. As it turns out, the area I found him in (a few miles away in Valley Center) wasn't "in their jurisdiction" and they just wouldn't take him. I guess I understand why they couldn't, but I was in an unfamiliar area, just trying to go home, and currently had a big old lab in the back of my car... (*in their jurisdiction* FWIW). He didn't come from far away, I just needed a safe place to take him. Ultimately the HS gave me a piece of paper with numbers to call, and put the onus on me to try to figure out what the heck to do with this dog that I couldn't take home or to the nearest Animal Services location (in Carlsbad!) which is was what they suggested I do. The staff wasn't particularly nice or helpful, and seemed extremely inconvenienced by me. However when I called Animal Services from the HS parking lot, that woman was VERY kind and helpful. Over the course of about 30 minutes, AS tried to work with me and the Humane Society to try to figure out a solution. Overall I'm really disappointed. It was a stressful situation for me (and probably Carl, who was sitting in the back seat of my car the whole time, but was eventually reunited with his owners), and I would have hoped for a bit more help and compassion. Since the Humane Society facility is so close to unincorporated SD County (Animal Services's jurisdiction), I would have hoped they would have had a better plan to help people just trying to do the right thing for a lost dog instead of just giving them the AS phone number and basically saying it's not their problem.

I saw a dog posted on Friday late afternoon. Called the facility before 5 and was told it is first come, first served. No holds allowed. I checked early this morning and he was still listed as available. I arrived at opening time and showed the lady the dog's ID number and she ermed and hesitated and then told me the dog is on a hold. "Huh? Is he okay?" I was then told that the dog was put on a hold "by leadership" for someone to adopt him. I told her that I had been informed that there were no holds. "Well its by the leadership." I didn't flip out, I went outside and paced around for a bit and then asked if I could speak to someone and a woman named Carli(sp?) came out and told that the staff is allowed to put dogs on hold. So there you have it. The rules apply to some but not to all. The perks of power. PS - The volunteers there were quite nice.

I've adopted 3 of our pets from here. They gave us through information regarding their background. We spent time with our first pet, a dog, in 2016 before we adopted. He was a perfect fit. Then we adopted a hamster from the humane society through pet smart. He was the best. 2 weeks ago we adopted a beautiful kitten, he's so playful and gets along great with the dog we currently have. ❤️ I'm thankful for places like these. I encourage everyone to adopt. Our first dog came from a very bad situation and with us he got a ton of love until the day he passed. These defenseless babies need all the love we can give, they deserve it. Please adopt. You can also buy, as you could also be saving a life by buying, but adopting is almost a sure way to know you are rescuing. ?

Anything but Humane! We had to put our dog down yesterday 1/17/2024 and they gave us until Friday to choose an aftercare company. We called this morning with the info and they "accidentally" had already given our dog to the cremation company and was not able to get it back for our private cremation as the company said was already done. We are beyond livid and have so much regret going through them. Made grieving so much harder as we don't have our beloved's remains. Please choose a good company when the time comes for your beloved. They totally dropped the ball on this one.

This is for the clinic side. If you are used to a professional VET then don’t come here. They don’t let you in the room with your pet and they shut the door on you. The lady couldn’t complete my cats 2nd vaccine because she mentioned my cat was severely overweight and too irritated from the 1st shot. Also they wont do any nail cuts. Every vet I have gone to in my life has accommodated a nail cut for a fee and none have ever been unable to complete my pets vaccines. They waste your time. Go to a Veterinarian’s office, not here. The shots are cheap, only $20 and they will treat you cheap as well, unfortunately.

We went there to get a bunny and manny helped us. He was so thorough and kind to us. He really showed he cares a lot about all of the animals and is very knowledgeable. All of the staff that day was so kind and helpful. They kept the animals place incredibly clean and interacted with them. Thank you guys so much for helping these animals and genuinely caring what happens to them !

Great organization and a great place for you to adopt a companion animal, obviously cats and dogs but they also have quite the menagerie of reptiles, other furry creatures, roosters and pot bellied pigs. The place is run by friendly caring staff and volunteers (I'm a new volunteer with 3 shifts under my belt this week.Consider volunteering, it feels good doing good. ???☮️

This sanctuary for animals big and small was most helpful in providing low cost clinics to get vaccines and exams for my kitties. SPCA is the best hope most animals have. If you can donate anything…. Anything at all, please do. The most vulnerable animals are counting on your humanity.

I took LeiLa and LesLie to the Escondido, location this morning and the two ladies that helped me were so nice, patient and so kind to my dogs. LesLie ? did so good with the ladies and they were successful with administering her vaccines. I'm so happy and pleased to have gone to this location. Please reward these ladies because they deserve it❣️??
