The groomer I use is SHAY and I take my dog monthly and my cats as needed every couple months!!! She is consistent and my pets love her. She doesn’t skip anything they may need like getting all the undercoat out of my dogs hair and her other things she needs are always cared for so very well!!! Every staff member is super helpful and, like I say, the job my groomer Shay does is excellent!!!

The only thing irritating now is the parents that allow their kids to "talk" at decibels of 100. Teach your kids better.

My lab’s fav place on the planet and he feels so much better because of it. Their entire staff is compassionate, loving, and supportive. Especially Dave’s water coach! Just can’t say enough about this place. Worth the drive.

My dog is very selective in who she likes, and she absolutely adores the staff here. She gets to run around outside all day and the staff sends pictures and updates throughout the day to provide peace knowing she is enjoying herself.

He had severe and acute cardiac issue and we believe VSH offered him accurate prognosis, best possible treatment, and attentive care. Dr. Borgman, Dr. Coberg, Alexis and all other amazing technicians demonstrated great expertise, understanding, and unwavering empathy to both us two humans and our cat. Alex and all other front desk crew provided us with all the information and help we could use.
We are absolutely devastated with the outcome, but we do not regret a single bit taking our cat here. Sometimes I cannot help but think modern science is overrated (cynical, I know) and there are still so much more we need to figure out.
Nevertheless, I believe people here try their best to save lives, and that is a sacred and most respected cause.

I really really like him. He’s done surgery to remove a lump on my older lab and did a fantastic job. He spayed another of my dogs. I’ve never had any problems! He’s super knowledgeable and never seems to want to upcharge you like other vets like to do.

I have lived it first hand to take care of animals that came into my clinic and the way I portrayed myself and they do a great job with all of that here. They do a good job at looking at my cat thoroughly and they aren't trying to sell you stuff you don't need like some places. With the experience and knowledge I have, I recommend this place. There are some bad reviews and I don't discredit them but personally for me, it's been great so far. Some days are better than others so idk try it out for yourself and don't depend on reviews to choose where to take your animal.

There is a great group of folks who work there, always willing to tell me a story about my silly dog.

500 La Terraza Blvd #150, EscondidoAs a new pup owner, I wanted to make sure my puppy was set up to be a good canine and companion. I reached out to Allison to learn more about the board and train program and she instantly put me at ease, she runs a great model of training one pup a time in her home with her family and pets (unlike some programs where there are multiple dogs being trained at the same time). Allison was able to focus on a few key things I was hoping to have addressed, as well as teaching my pup the basic commands and reinforcing potty training. She also worked with her on being on the leash and reacting to new people/pets when out and about. Allison was great about giving me updates every 48 hrs as to my pup’s progress (including photos), both what she was doing well on and where she was struggling. She was quick to respond to questions and provide clarity. When I picked up my pup, she had mastered her basic commands and Allison walked me through how to reinforce training/continue working with my pup at home. She also sent me a wonderful Word doc that outlined all the things I may need to know.I was a little nervous about sending my sweet puppy away, but she came back her wonderful self with better mastery of her commands. Allison and the team at Peticularly Perfect are fantastic at their craft and I’m so grateful they offer such tailored services. I whole heartedly recommend them to dog owners looking to train their dogs!

1023 Country Club Dr, EscondidoIf I could give Janean 10 stars I would. We needed urgent care for one of our family member's dog because the owner was taken to the local ER and eventually admitted. From the moment we turned up the driveway, Win2 (the doggie) was SO excited! He happily jumped out of the car, Janean greeted us, he ran around and was integrated into her home and with the other dogs. The pictures we received were priceless and it was more than apparent that Win2 was being well cared for and happy. This will be our go to now for care and I cannot recommend Janean and Horses and Hounds enough!

15671 Old Milky Way, EscondidoWe took our 3 year old Blue Heeler Izzy, for an instinct test last weekend and she had an amazing experience. We are already signed up for future herd training. If you read the bad reviews, they always involve the fact that their dog was mistreated or physically touched. I paid very careful attention to all trainers I could see and the worst thing I saw occurred to my own dog, and all the trainer did was take her guide stick and push her away from the herd (which has a huge orange juice bottle over the end of the stick to blunt the end). She was attempting to bite a lone sheep and the trainer is there to protect them as well as train the dog. Additionally, we were warned ahead of time this would occur if she tried to get to over -zealous. The 2nd time in the pen, my dog tried to grab onto one of the lambs and was pushed back. If you bring your dogs to be trained by titled professionals, please allow them to take your dog through the process and humbly consider that you are not the pro and they may just improve your dog's life immensely. Don't trust the bad reviews!

There's always a line to or out the door. I love supporting local businesses and even better when the food and drinks are amazing! It's a great place to meet friends for coffee or even bring kids for a pastry and hot chocolate on the weekends.

They brought their little one who had fun playing with other kids in the bounce house/ waterslide that was set up on the lawn. We enjoyed the covered tables and they had snacks from the food truck with our bottle. I'd like to see some vegan options at the food trucks, but overall a very nice spot with good wine.

2500 S Escondido Blvd, EscondidoThis place is such a fun restaurant to hang out with your friends! They have a self-pour tap area for beer, kombucha, cider, and seltzer. You use your credit card to start a tab which is connected to a card. I love that you can see exactly how much you are pouring, and how much it costs, in real time. For drinks, I got: -Julian Hard Cider in the Apple Pie Flavor ($0.59 per oz): This was by far my favorite. -Everything Naughty White Chocolate Stout: This had notes of white chocolate and coffee in it. For food, my friends and I ordered: -Truffle Parm Tots ($12): The generous amount of tater tots was topped with truffle, truffle aioli, and parmesan. We loved this so much that we ordered another one. -Nachos de granero ($10): This came with nacho cheese, pico de gallo, beans, corn, and jalapeños. There was a side of guac and salsa as well. This was good but got soggy pretty quickly. -Figgy Piggy Flatbread ($14): This had prosciutto, fig spread, basil, and balsamic reduction. This was my favorite flatbread of the three that we got. -Butcher's Block Flatbread ($12): This was similar to a meat lovers' pizza since it had pepproni, salami, bacon, prosciutto, mozzarella, and parmesan. -BAM Flatbread ($12): This had bacon, green apple, sharp cheddar, and cinnamon-maple. This was the most unique flatbread flavor. **Some of the photos I had seen on Yelp on this page showed bagel sandwiches. The worker said that they temporarily aren't selling any bagels, but that eventually they'll be back on the menu.** Towards the end of our time here, they began trivia night. The place really filled up, and so many customers participated! I love the fun atmosphere, and definitely will spend more time here.

Kate will know who this is because I always order my sandwich with a side of jam : ) The place is small but very accommodating . . . they've expanded to have seating out back in the open air. Bright sunshiny colors inside. Complementary glass bottled fresh water is always available for you to serve yourself at your table. It feels like home here; I love it.

I had their Italian omelette and if I had to rate it on a one to 10 scale with 10 being the best, I would give it a 12. This is the Vista location. Highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch, as they are not open for dinner.
