I had an appointment at 8am on a Saturday morning and needless to say, it was already busy at 8am. Victor checked me in and said it’d be about an hour and half to change out my light bulb for my high mounted brake light. He offered a ride, but I decided to stay watch tv in their clean waiting area. He later informed me that they were just going to change the light bulb for me at no cost. Free 99!! and my car was ready within 30 minutes. As someone who works in the customer service industry, customer service is HUGE for me. it can really make or break a company and Victor exhibited excellent customer service today. He exceeded my expectations and even made my day. One of the many reasons, why I will continue to come back here when my car is in need of a service. Thank you again!! ?

Why did we buy a Kia?No, we didn’t make a wrong turn onto the Kia lot. No, we are not poor. Yes, we know it is a Kia. Kia was a cheap brand we used to avoid when buying reliable cars. Fast forward 10+ years since the hamster commercials, we believe Kia has come a long way, with affordable, innovative, and dare I say it, reliable and safe cars. Being price conscious shoppers, we decided to buy our first Kia for the value - you get more car and perks for your money. Most of all, we really like the new Kia logo because most people can’t recognize the letters (j/k haha). The new logo is the best version yet.Why North County Kia?* Large inventory: Despite being so far away from our home, this dealership seems to carry lots of vehicles with different models and trims, more so than other dealerships in SD.* Responsive and professional staff: Hey, we know it can be tough buying or selling cars, but it doesn’t have to be unpleasant. We liked that the sales staff were responsive, and overall, we were very impressed and pleased with the service from all the staff. Especially, Terry and Chris, whom made it easy, stress free, and even provided umbrellas for us since it was raining. Like any other dealerships, there was haggling, and some back and forth on price. But, the whole experience was hassle free and at no time did we feel pressured into making a deal.* Excellent service: We appreciated Chris, our appointed salesman, for going the extra mile to show us all available Tellurides on the lot, to check out different trims and options. Chris also delivered our car with a full tank, washed and spot free. We plan to schedule a vehicle tutorial service with Kiwi, who is the Kia car specialist. We like that Kia goes the extra mile to help buyers really get to know their cars.Thanks again so much. North County Kia is definitely worth a road trip for the valued car and great service.

I will never ever take my car to this dealership to get serviced.I was never informed that the service department closed at a specific time different than the actual dealership and would have to picked up BEFORE the service department closing time.I arrived to pick up my car at 3:30 pm, (service department closed at 2pm) the dealership closed at 7pm for reference.The manager told me I would not be allowed to get my car. Basically told me too bad. My service appointment was on Saturday and they would be closed Sunday and Monday due to the holiday. I was supposed to be without my car until Tuesday. I only got my car after I made a big deal about it— and even after that he was very rude. He had to take a copy of my credit card for $25! And told me to call Tuesday to make sure they charged me. Why should I have to do that???The lack of communication and compassion is why I will never go to this dealership for anything regarding my car.

My first service (oil change, tire rotation) came at a reasonable price but took twice as long (105 minutes) as other places. If they’re going to have my PHEV for so long, the least they could have done was to charge it. The appointment was right after lunch, in the middle of the day. As such, I had to take PTO; it cost me more in Personal Time Off than it did for the service. The buying experience from a different dealer was similar: five hours to buy a car—they just don’t seem to value my time. I love the car, but won’t be taking it back to a Kia dealer.

Called in for 2 recalls, which only one could be accomplished. No word on when the fix to the second recall. Got a quote to replace spark plugs and change a belt. Quoted over $500. That’s after paying $180 for diagnostics. Got it done for $169. Big difference. The whole attitude with those I spoke to at Kia was very cavalier and dismissive. I was planning on buying a new car in January at this location, but that’s not happening now.

The staff were extremely nice and very professional. They took great care of me and checked on me every once in a while. They also had my oil changed pretty quickly. I highly suggest speaking with Jose he was extremely nice.

Sadly, the worst service experience in my car ownership history. Purchased a brand new Kia and the Apple Car Play wouldn’t work properly; it would constantly disconnect or the touch screen wouldn’t work. Called Kia of Escondido service and was told there was over a 10 week wait for a service appointment; there were just not enough Kia technicians in the county. As I was scheduling the appointment, the Kia representative mentioned that Kia is aware of the Apple Car Play issue so they would need to run “diagnostics,” etc. when the car was brought in for service. My teenage son took the car to the dealership on the day of the service. After a two hour wait, he was told by the technician that he drove the car “around the block” and the Car Play was working properly. The technician was so kind to “top off the fluids” and sent my son on his way. Shockingly, the Car Play stopped working a mile from the dealership. I attempted to reach Kia by phone and no one would pick up. I called back again and had to leave a message. Has anyone from Kia called me back? Nope.

If only I could give negative starts.Absolutely one of the shadiest businesses in the area. Do not recommend. If you buy your car here, expect shady business, illegal business practices and the fight of your life to do anything.

Today is Tuesday, 11/14/23. As I write this review...just wanted to make it clear of the customer service I received from north county Kia, Escondido. I had a bad experience with them awhile back after moving to Escondido about two years. The service agent was not kind and compassionate. I vowed not to go there ever again. They are less 1-2 miles away from my home. But I thought I'd go there again and this time regrets again. On 11/6... The service was not good at all. I brought my car in for a particular Kia recall. They had the vehicle in the shop 5-6 hours and never did what was supposed to be done. It was made clear at the point of contact first thing 8am. I also had paper work to show. When they call to let me know 5 hours later. I went to pick up the car and asked "what work was completed" they gave me the after report and it showed check tire pressure and...the recall part of the hitch tail end of vehicle. I DO NOT HAVE A HITCH ON THE BACK OF VEHICLE. Initially vehicle was brought in to do something else other than the work supposedly done. I confronted them and ask about the headlights. They didn't even look at. They had a technician look again and told me they had to order parts for it. This is Tuesday and it was supposed to be in by Friday. They would reach out to me to come by service and it would be done. No calls, no calls, no calls.1 week later i call them and follow up and they said oh the part is here now. They scheduled me for today 11/14 and I had CANCELLED THE APPOINTMENT. I would rather take my car elsewhere to a more reputable dealer ship 20 miles away and NOT WORRY THAT MY ENGINE WILL.BE TAMPERED WITH. Seriously concerned. I had service with another KIA dealership and all went very very well. It was Even worth waiting for service department to.order the part and have it done right. I received invoice of all that was done to the vehicle. Please if you do want to have an additional engine car issues with a perfectly fine working vehicle...Do Not go to North County Kia...they don't care about you and your vehicle. Service with a Fake smile and you turn-around your back and they talk about you!!! No good! Very dissatisfied.

Ruben and Omid made my experience they did an amazing job. Service was fast and easy. Employees were knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend considering the Kia financing as well, they matched my banks APR and even gave us an extra rebate.

I bought a new car 3 years ago. I was promised my first set of tires would be free. Well now that I call so they can honor that promise, the manager keeps saying tires arnt free. I keep asking her if they aren’t going to honor the promise they made and she keeps changing the subject ect. Then without letting me know she put me on hold for 14 minutes. I tried calling back and now they aren’t answering my call.These people are lyers! They promised me a lifetime warranty so I was hooked! The warenty says 10 years or 100k miles. It was at night they wanted to get me out of there quickly, now I know why! Don’t trust this car dealer. Go to Honda they are so much nicer and helpful!

This is where I bought my car, so we brought it back for it's first service. Everyone was super helpful, I would say - it would be nice to have like a "please pull into service" sign or something, it was a little hard to figure out where to go. But other than that, everything was great!

A dealer you’ll actually like! Easy transaction, super friendly staff and management. I never write reviews, but had such a great experience I thought I’d share. After shopping around from Chula Vista to Irvine, North County Kia gave me the best deal. I got exactly the new car I wanted for my teenager at a very fair price. Quickest purchase from a dealer ever, I was in and out in less than two hours! I will definitely be back when I start looking for a new car for myself. Thank you Hugo, Terry, Jeff, and Doug!!!

Hands down, this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Francisco was friendly, polite and super knowledgeable. Omid in the finance department was also great. I asked a lot of questions and he was very patient with me. It is a professionally run dealer. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience and I'd highly recommend this dealership to friends and family.
