I buy some specialized items not easily found in store/online here, like my Vibrams Five Finger shoes (whether detective Ryan Murphy likes it or not).

I live in Escondido and I always dread the long drive to REI. Then I remember "oh wait, Nomad is down the street!". They always have what I am looking for product wise, have knowledgeable staff to help me with my decision, and I leave their store happy every time.
