I absolutely adore this place!!! This is the 2nd time my son and I have stayed here and the staff and motel have been a real pleasure. Clean rooms that come with a fridge, microwave, blow dryer, and iron for that low price ? Can’t beat that! I also love their shower heads and room layout! I have never even wrote a google review before but this place was so amazing, I just had too!!! I 1000% recommend this place to anyone !

The motel appears to be severely understaffed or experiencing a lack of attendance altogether. We waited for an hour to check in as there was no one at the front desk for most of the daytime.
Despite making several calls, we received no response either. Should give zero star due to the overall poor experience.

This motel was overall reasonably priced, clean, small but enough room for my little family of 3! I did knock down a star because their website advertises a hot deluxe breakfast but that was not the case at all, all they offered was coffee

Clean, friendly and very good prices, always attentive to customers, covering our needs
Rooms: Clean, spacious and very modern
Nearby activities: Restaurantbar 25', gas and markerta 30', and all kinds of shops and restaurants 5 minutes away, close to the highway
Walkability: There is a small park 2 minutes away and the avenue is safe to walk
Food & drinks: Any type of restaurant and liquor store within 10 to 15 minutes

Considering the low price this motel is well looked after and staff are great. Rooms are clean, except that the AC/fan unit was very dirty and triggered an allergic reaction that I seldom get. Without using that unit my overnight was quite cold. For this reason I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was my husband and my first visit to the Mediteran Motel. Everything was so nice! The people at the front desk were friendly and efficient. Our room was very clean, it was cleaned thoroughly each day that we were there. The room price was very reasonable. Hopefully, we'll stay there again, soon!

Nice little family owned motel, very affordable, clean, and welcoming.
I stay here whenever I’m in San Diego/Escondido. It’s a bit of a drive to central SD or the beaches, but it’s worth it for a room you can afford and know it’s clean and safe.
I bring my 9yr old with me all the time here. It’s safe for him to hang out and swim in the small but clean pool, or relax by the gazebo fountain.
They used to offer breakfast, but haven’t since Covid. But there’s a decent bar and grill next door that has good burgers and breakfast, and a gas station and liquor store within a block distance.
Rooms: Rooms are clean and comfortable, furnishings are a little older, but the bathrooms are clean and updated. Beds are relatively comfy and there aren’t any bugs - bed or otherwise.
Comes with a microwave and a mini fridge; really nice if you’re staying a few weeks days.
Flatscreen TV with cable and free WiFi is a plus. You can plug into the TV with a HDMI cable and play video games or stream with a Roku or Amazon Firestick.
Safety: This location feels fairly safe as far as motels go. Only one in and out to the property, so there aren’t many passersby or loitering. The parking lot is well lit, and so are the walkways along the property. There are a few security cameras around.

For a motel, it was pretty decent. Couldn't hear much from the rooms on either side. Done noise from the parking lot. (People getting in and out of cars, etc)
Check in was quick, parking was good and fairly close to the room. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, heat was relatively quiet. Room was spacious. We asked for extra pillows and the front desk guy brought us a couple within a few minutes. Shower was hot and strong. Plenty of towels. Decent Internet.
Walkability: Not great for walking, though there is a burger joint and a gluten free place just down the street. A half mile away is a shopping center with a Trader Joe's and a Better Buzz coffee place

Five star rooms are hidden here in Escondido. $1000 beds, all wood furniture, refrigerator, microwave, comfortable and clean. Unusually quiet which I value so much. You cannot hear noise from neighboring rooms or noise from the parking lot. Will built motel. I rest peacefully all night.
Safety: 5 star clientele. Some working clientele. Quiet and comfortable in the evenings. I still can't believe I found this place. I don't even think about safety.
Noteworthy details: Value for the money, top of the list. I sometimes have trouble with remotes on these big screen TV's. I can hear staff hustle so much to make things right, I can actually hear them running to my room. Who values customers that much. I think they are family owned and run. Remarkable place. My go to for best luxury value.

The women in the front office was very rude. Floors had water coming out although we stayed on the second floor, and sold our room without informing us.
