Lady at optometry front desk with black hair is snacking, bags under her eyes, texting on her phone and I'm sitting here watching her demeanor how she spoke to me or the other patients. Not a good first impression. Other lady with lighter brown hair was very nice.

This is a review for the Kaiser home hospice program in Escondido, CA. If you want to have your sick and dying loved ones in the hands of scared little snowflakes, this is the service for you. I tried to have my dad signed up for home hospice through Kaiser and the nurse refused saying that my parent's home environment was "unsafe" for my parents and for nurses to come by because they had throw rugs, two dogs and a wood stove! To add insult to injury, they called Adult Protective Services on my parents! Two days later, I got my dad signed up with home hospice through Silverado. What a 180º difference! Don't bother with Kaiser — go with Silverado! They are awesome, their staff truly cares, and even better, no whiny little scared snowflakes to deal with. :)

Kaiser Permanente Optical Center in Escondido!!! AMAZING! I usually only go to this facility for prescription pick ups, just because the San Marcos location is much bigger. When I booked my optometry appointment, I was glad it was at this location, as it is closer to my home. I was not sure what to expect, as I had never had any doctor visits at the Escondido location. Upon entering, the facility was clean and inviting. The staff was attentive and quick to help me. I received my eye exam from Dr. Ortiz was WONDERFUL. He had clarified many things I was concerned about based on my last appointment at a Costco. (It was Presidents Day, and I had my children with me, being a school holiday. Dr. Ortiz was so kind, funny and friendly to my children. I really appreciated that he made sure they felt welcome and comfortable. It is important that children are exposed to positive experiences, especially when it comes to doctor appointments of any kind.) After a prescription was give to me, I was undecided on glasses, so I decided to come back another day. Yesterday, I went in to look at glasses. I was greeted by Leann. She was quick to welcome me as I entered the office. Her interpersonal skills made me feel welcome, as she sat me down, and went over eyeglasses options. Not only did she help me with the basics: prescription: insurance: cost, but she took time to help me find a pair of eyeglasses that looked great on me, and fit my profile. In moments where a person is navigating something new, it can feel scary. Leann has a knowledge, confidence, and sincerity that made me feel secure in trying on glasses. I was glad I could talk to her about the style and fit that suited me best. Holy moly!!!! We NEED more medical offices like this and we NEED more people in this world like Leeann. I am beyond thankful and feel very blessed for this wonderful experience! Kenzie Q.

I had Kaiser years ago and it had the best Dr’s and medical attention you could ask for. Dr’s cared and did everything they could to give you answers when you or your children were sick.Fast forward to present, I pay for insurance, therefore I would expect to get the medical attention my children and I need, but that’s not the case. Kaiser has gotten so bad! To get an appointment you have to wait weeks or even months. I have taken my sick child 3 times in one week and all they have done is taken covid and urine test, and only given nausea medication for vomiting. Eight days later, my child is still vomiting, cough getting worse and no sign of getting better. They do not take X-rays because they don’t find it necessary but my child has asthma and as a parent you know there is something more than just a cough. You request bloodwork and again they say “it’s not necessary”, well it is necessary to me so I know my child is okay! I’m paying for it out of my pocket, not theirs. Kaiser has been disappointing over and over again. My children were in medical for 2 years during Covid, and let me tell you, they had better medical attention than private insurance like Kaiser. Unfortunately, we don’t qualify for medical.

I had Kaiser through my previous employer for 3 years and I got to say it's not as good as I used to hear. During this time, I suffered from tinnitus for some time and went there for treatment. They just scheduled me for a hearing test with an audiologist. After they performed the test he told me that everything came up all right and that there was no cure for tinnitus. So basically he just told me to live with it when he should have referred me to an ENT doctor which they did not. Some time later I went there again because I had fungus on one of my toenail. My primary doctor basically wanted to treat it with an antifungal capsule what could raise my live enzymes dramatically. I then ask her to refer me to a podiatrist instead to see if I could get leaser treatment instead which is completely safe and side effect free. A week later I get a call from the nurse telling me that they spoke to a podiatrist and that the podiatrist recommended me to take the pill also. I still didn't want to go down that route and went to a podiatrist myself to get laser treatment but had to pay it out of pocket. If your primary doctor refuses to refer you to the right specialist for treatment then to me that speaks volumes of how careless they are with their patients. I left my job and I am happy to not be with Kaiser any longer.

on my appointment receptionist was smiling and call out my name, when i stood up 63 year old man her smile disappear. She should have read my file because i think she was hoping for the blond hunk next to me. it got worst she scolded me because i wasn't fast enough to keep the door open. it closed and i was lock out, so i had to knock. she then ask why i haven't taken my stress test for my heart i tried to answer when she responded "do you know more than the doctor". i had enough of her and scolded her for her lack of customer service. But that didn't stop there the doctor pick up where she left. She ask multiple questions, tried to answer honestly. when she stop and said " if you want a different doctor i'll get you one, you seem to be a destructive patient. I ask her how so, you ask all the question and i tried to keep up with your question, how i'm i being destructive. so then said do you want to continue, i said yes. She did check my vitals and then set and appointment with kaiser San Marcus for a An electrocardiogram (ECG) test. at San Marcus i found out escondido could have administer the test. i call to complain to kaiser about my experience and why do i have to make and extra trip. I did received a call from someone other than escondido staff that, because of sensitive information that the only thing they could tell me, it is being look into. sorry can't keep from boiling up about this facility, yes i am sure there are good doctors and staff, but the only good experience i have here is the pharmacy.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I watched the receptionist go out of her way to help a woman who didn't know how to schedule a covid test with her phone.

On hold for 45 minutes and never got to member services today the worst customer service in the medical field I've ever experienced. After several phone calls it took 2 weeks for Dr. Marquez's office to respond to a prescription request. It wasn't until I got ahold of member services yesterday and complained and asked to talk to a supervisor which never happened that they finally submitted the request. This is not the 1st time that doctor Marquez's office did not respond to many phone calls I would not recommend him as your physician.

Abysmal service. Won't answer their phone. Rushed down to get an emergency prescription, showed up at the exactly 5 pm and they closed to door on me and told me to go to San Marcos. I was in excruciating pain, and they told me to pound sand. I couldn't believe it. My prescription was at Escondido. We had been trying to call for approximately 30 minutes before we showed up, and no one ever answered.
