I am new to the area and I needed an oil change. Such a difficult task when you have no idea where to start. Well, duh, Google. I search oil change and the fast lube places show up. Nothing against them but I’d rather not. I see Joe & Sons Transmissions and it’s close to my work. I call and ask if they offer oil changes. The person on the phone said yes but they are a bit busy. I explained that I work in walking distance and was looking to have it done today. She was super nice about it and said I could bring it over at 12.Let me first tell you that this repair shop is in a plaza with a few other shops so don’t be alarmed. Once I arrived, I was greeted by Cynthia who I had spoken with on the phone. She gave me a price, asked for my keys to get my vehicle info, told me it would be about 30min or so. I opted to leave and she would let me know when it’s done. In no time did I hear back from Cynthia that my car was ready. Let me tell you, this was fast, friendly service that made you feel comfortable oh, and affordable too. Hopefully my car doesn’t need anything else but if it does, I’m going to Joe & Sons. Thanks Cynthia!

Joe & Sons replaced my transmission with a new unit I sourced myself at a great discount. They had no problem verifying that the unit I found was the correct one and were willing to accept shipment of it. They installed it in a single day at a very reasonable cost. I am extremely happy that I did business with them instead of the dealership that wanted 4X the cost and another transmission shop unwilling to deal with a third party unit. My car is running smoothly and I can't be happier.

My truck suddenly stopped running one day and it was possible the issue had something to do with my transmission. I brought it to my general mechanic who diagnosed the issue as needing an entirely new transmission which would take 1 month to assemble / install and cost $4,600 . I felt called to get a second opinion and was recommended this shop from a friend. Within a day, they realized it was actually an electrical issue and not my transmission AT ALL. They had the issue fixed and the truck back to me within 2 days running 100%. Not to mention the repair was under $500. I couldn't recommend this shop more! The communication is incredible and their expertise literally saved my a*** I am so grateful! Highly recommend if you are in north county.

Took my car in because I had a misfire which shook my car no matter how fast or slow I drive. Took it in and they fix and it's never felt this good before.
