Rainy day. Not many people in store. Went to exchange shoes. On the way to customer service to take care of return and decided to stop by shoes and ask if they had a style and size. Both employees were just standing there and neither greeted me or acted like they knew how to provide a great customer service experience. Missed opportunity.

Came here to participate in a kids Lego building event. There was no wayfinding signage to the “kids zone” where the event was supposed to take place. Counterintuitively, the “kids zone” is neither in the kids clothing nor kids toy areas, but supposedly in the beauty department. I say “supposedly” because after asking several employees for assistance and wandering the beauty department in our quest to find the “kids zone,” we found no “kids zone” nor any employees at all in the beauty dept. Other families were wandering the store similarly confused. The store employees looked away from us, preferring to continue their conversations amongst themselves.The store is in disrepair. One escalator was non-functioning and the area was poorly lit making it challenging to go down the “stairs,” the carpet is stained or torn up in many places, the items are overpriced… honestly, just download the Amazon app or shop at Target next door.

I placed an order at midnight last night. It asked for my form of payment, and immediately stated "thank you for your order" It did not give me the opportunity to change the address to where it was being shipped. I was shipping to my daughter in law in FL. I called customer service immediately and received an automated system telling me to call back in the morning. I called back to modify the address,. A Philippino (very difficult to understand) woman told me that my order could not be modified once the order was placed. I said that the order was not supposed to ship for another week, and asked "why is it not possible to change the address?" She told me sorry that is our policy. They cannot change the address once the order is placed, and I could not even cancel the order because it was beyond 30 minutes after the order was placed. I asked to speak with a manager, Vince in Escalations, also in the Philippines that told me the exact same thing. This customer service is crap and I will never place another online order with JCPenney. It's forcing me to give at least one star so I will. BE ADVISED, THERE ARE NO MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED TO ORDERS ONCE PLACED, AND JCP CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND NOT EVEN IN THIS COUNTRY The best I can hope for is that once UPS has the package I can contact them and change the address. ABSURD

Always great going to JCP. I found everything I needed and the associates were very helpful. My favorite part? JCP is dog friendly! My pup loved meeting new people.

Wow. I have not had great customer service in the salon in the past (multiple canceled appointments, including for a plumbing issue), but my recent experience an hour ago takes the cake. Biolage is on sale online--but "not in store". So--I can order it online, ship it to store (will be as it's over 35) and pick up for the price I expected. Does the ad not say "visit store to purchase"? And is this a case of false advertising?

Ordered glasses on 6/30/23 and was told they would be ready in 10 working days (if it takes that long). As of today, have not received any info on glasses. I have left several messages that gave not been returned. Horrible, horrible service JCPenney.
