I placed an order at midnight last night. It asked for my form of payment, and immediately stated "thank you for your order" It did not give me the opportunity to change the address to where it was being shipped. I was shipping to my daughter in law in FL. I called customer service immediately and received an automated system telling me to call back in the morning. I called back to modify the address,. A Philippino (very difficult to understand) woman told me that my order could not be modified once the order was placed. I said that the order was not supposed to ship for another week, and asked "why is it not possible to change the address?" She told me sorry that is our policy. They cannot change the address once the order is placed, and I could not even cancel the order because it was beyond 30 minutes after the order was placed. I asked to speak with a manager, Vince in Escalations, also in the Philippines that told me the exact same thing. This customer service is crap and I will never place another online order with JCPenney. It's forcing me to give at least one star so I will. BE ADVISED, THERE ARE NO MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED TO ORDERS ONCE PLACED, AND JCP CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND NOT EVEN IN THIS COUNTRY The best I can hope for is that once UPS has the package I can contact them and change the address. ABSURD

Wow. I have not had great customer service in the salon in the past (multiple canceled appointments, including for a plumbing issue), but my recent experience an hour ago takes the cake. Biolage is on sale online--but "not in store". So--I can order it online, ship it to store (will be as it's over 35) and pick up for the price I expected. Does the ad not say "visit store to purchase"? And is this a case of false advertising?

Ordered glasses on 6/30/23 and was told they would be ready in 10 working days (if it takes that long). As of today, have not received any info on glasses. I have left several messages that gave not been returned. Horrible, horrible service JCPenney.

Alex did an amazing blowout when I walked in last minute. She was very friendly, outgoing, but not too ‘chatty’. A lot of hairstylists don’t listen to an easy instruction I give with my hair, but she did!!!! I will definitely try to go back to her once I find myself needing a last minute blow out before a special occasion…it’s inevitable it’ll happen again soon ??♀️.

My mother came into town from Nicaragua to visit for Mother’s Day. We decided to go get perms together and have some special mother-daughter time. So, yesterday we made appointments at this salon. Mine was with Ariel Phelan at 3:15pm for a perm with the price listed as $75. My mom had an appointment scheduled with Roshana Malikyar at the same time. We got there to check in and found out that my stylist, Ariel Phelan, called into work and no one bothered to call and let me know that. So the woman said she would see if another stylist would do my hair. A stylist named Mona said she would be able to. She sat me down in the chair, brushed my hair, had me pick out curlers and talked for a bit. Then she said that she was going to charge me $150 for the perm. Originally it was listed as $75 but since she’s a different stylist she charges more. The problem is that their prices online list the highest price as $120 they have signs in the store saying that they cannot charge more than the posted price. I brought this to their attention and was met with rudeness and all together disrespect.. Another stylist got a manager and the manager assured her that they would be able to override the price since it was their fault for not notifying me of the cancellation and stylist change. Roshana refused to honor that, despite the managers recommendation. At that point I felt so uncomfortable in the salon that I no longer trusted them to do my hair. I would not recommend this place for anyone who likes professionalism and honesty from their stylist.Service: Perms

JC Penny Bayshore, NY 11706 I didn't have the time this past Thursday 3/30/23 to make a complaint due to my busy schedule. However, I will like to start off by saying I'm an 40 plus year old African American women. I walked into your establishment on this day around 5:15-5:20pm (straight from work). I had some free time prior to needing to pick up my children. My experience was okay (no staff help ) but I managed to find some things for my 4yr daughter and was amazed by the sale at that time. After this purchase I went to pick up my children from Daycare my 4yr old daughter and 12yr old son and headed back to the store to do some more shopping (the sale was amazing I did not want to miss out). However, this time around from the time I walked in and began to shop my kids and I were being followed and watched. Of course I ignored the uneasy feeling because I know I wasn't doing anything wrong so I carried on. As much as, I wanted to cause a secene I kept my composure not to embarrass my children as they watch mommy yell and carry on. I was racially profiled during this visit. To be followed around the store with my 4 and 12yr old up until I reached the register is beyond embarrassing despite being uncomfortable my entire visit. What amazing sales you had, but I will not return. The experience was even worse at the register when a manager showed as I handed the guy three twenty dollars bills that was snatched out his hand and marked immediately. Leaving the cashier beyond confused he said "we check twenties too" as he was shoved out of the way. I wish I would've canceled my purchase right than and there I will not be a return customer at this establishment. I will like this matter to be addressed to your staff. I was humiliated infront of many on line behind me. The manager mic was so loud I can hear the other person on the speaker talking, advising her to check my money. She said I'm here now at the register, doing so. Today 4/2nd I returned two items under Tran :7498 and will look to bring the rest in days to come. I didn't deserve to be treated like a theft nor a criminal. I hope you all take actions to save other customers to deal with such a poor experience. I looked forward to hearing from someone about my inquiry.

Their customer service department needs work. I brought in a sport jacket to exchange for a different size. True, I did not have a receipt, however I paid for it with my JC Penney card. The jacket had never been worn and was still in it original bag. Eileena the customer service rep decided to make the exchange (a simple swap) but wanted my driver's license, unfortunately I left it in my car. She held the new jacket for me until I returned with my license. When I returned with license in hand, Eileena was gone. Another rep was in her place and questioned my exchange. She called a manager over to approve the transaction. She appeared curt and a bit rude. She did not approve the exchange based on no receipt and no bar code. She mentioned that Eileena was from another dept and didn't know what she was doing. I explained that I could retrieve the barcode from home, at that point she simply walked away. It was quite obvious that this department lacks value-added customer service. I will never be back to JCPenney. I have shopped the store for over fifty years even taking my mom during her last years of life with fond memories. Shame on JCPenney.

I go see Roshana at this salon and she is AMAZING!I always bring a photo in of what I want, and each time she’s been able to give me the exact haircut, while giving me advice on what would look better due to my hair type. I find that important when looking for a stylist, cause all hair is different, and her advice shows that she cares about making her clients feel beautiful & happy.She is very sweet and was fun talking with her while she cut my hair.She also colored it once when I wanted my hair back to its natural color. I love some of Penney's clothes but I hate going in this store. This store is hot. They closed half the dressing rooms. Part of the woman's section is downstairs. You have to go upstairs to try on clothes. I threw down the clothes I had and shopped somewhere else. You can never find anyone to help you. The checkout lines are few with long lines. I would love to see this store fix it's problems and start again. I now shop at Kohls. Kohls gives a senior discount on Wednesdays and Kohls opens two hours earlier than Penneys. I went to this Penneys early one day and was so disappointed.

Have been coming to this exact JC Pennys Portrait Studio for 16 years continuously and have always bought the same Groupon. My family and I have always got to choose up to 4 to 5 different backgrounds, but have always resorted to using two Christmas backgrounds. This year around, they decided to verbally tell us in Person at our appointment that we weren't allowed to pick more than 1 Christmas background. They told us that it has always been the policy, yet no where online, on the Groupon, in their store, or any of the binding agreements of sale state anything with the policy of not allowing more than 1 Christmas background. They are just trying to up-sell us, and after talking to the supervisor of customer service they said it was a new policy they were upholding, and after asking where it is legally stated in the agreement he kept telling me, "I understand your frustration..."
