H&M Is a billion dollar company . Why the do they have the audacity to charge for bags. NO ONE wants to walk around the mall with unbagged clothes in their hand . This policy isn’t well thought out and is not customer friendly. I will not shop at H&M again

BUYERS BEWARE!
I tried to return a sweater 2 weeks after I bought it with the original receipt and tags attached and I was not able to return it because I didn’t have the original method of payment. I was told I had to exchange it for something of the exact same value and couldn’t receive store credit. I told them that my card had expired and they said I had to bring a letter from the bank saying a new card is on its way. The company as a whole is ridiculous!. If you are trying to return something without original payment and don’t want an even exchange GOOD LUCK!

Ridiculous return policy. In store with receipt within 30 days, wanted to exchange a sweater for a sweatshirt. I would have been owed $13. Because I didn't have my original form of payment ON HAND I would not be given that $13 back- not store credit, not cash, not to the original form of payment. Manager and customer service were both no help. I've never encountered a similar policy in any other store I've shopped.

Closing hours on Saturday night are incorrectly listed in Google Map as 9:00 PM. Actual closing time was 8:00 PM. I even called the store number to confirm the correct closing time before going. Call was clearly answered by a central call center; lady said 9:00 PM. Our trip there was cut short. Really not appreciated. I see the Westfield North County Mail closes at 8:00 PM on Friday night, too, so I suspect H&M closes at that time on Friday, as well.

I do love H&M. I always find clothing I like here, and they sell casual as well as suits and dresses. The men's section is smaller than the women's but it's all really nice looking clothes. The one star docked down is because I wish they had more sustainable clothing. Fast fashion is something I hope dies out.

Unbelievable "Customer service here". I wanted to buy a Cardigan that was $27 online but out of stock. This store had it but it was $40 for some reason. I pointed out to the cashier that it was $27 online and he said they can't match the online price which makes no sense. It's the same cardigan, I'm just buying it in person saving them shipping as it is. He said I would have to buy it online and I pointed out that it's out of stock online but he said they still couldn't do $27 because it's "company policy". This makes zero sense. This is the last time I shop at H&M

The cashier (I can’t remember her name) was rude and had an attitude before a word was even spoken. I tried returning some items I had bought less than 30 days ago (I had the receipt and they were never worn) but was told I could only get an exchange. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager, who backed up her statement despite that not being company policy. After speaking with corporate on the phone, they said they couldn’t see a reason for the issue but said it was ultimately up to manager policy. I went to the Carlsbad H&M and received a refund without an issue. It’s clear there was some sort of discriminatory reasoning behind the managers actions as I was fully within company policy and there should’ve been no issue within refunding my purchase. I’ll make sure to avoid coming to this H&M in the future.
