I needed my Tesla battery changed before a long road trip and was fortunate to find this place. They accepted me as a walk-in and had the expertise to change a Tesla battery. They completed the job in just 10 minutes, and everything worked perfectly. I highly recommend this place for their top-notch service.

I have known and been coming to Gil for 8+ years. He is an honest man and a great mechanic. He delivers exceptional value and peace of mind in what can be an unnerving experience at other shops. Even though I live in OC, I always make the trip down when my vehicle needs service.

I took my truck to get it checked out and Gil told me he would keep my truck and look it over. He called me a day later and said the valve covers were leaking and a sensor was bad so I said fix them ,not knowing that it was much more involved than I had realized . When I picked up the truck a day later thinking that I probably owed a few hundred dollars he told me I owed 900.00 dollars , I was in shock ! I've been working on cars my hole life and never have I been so upset with a bill for doing work on any of my cars . The price for what he did was totally off base . My advise to all that read this is be careful when dealing with Gil automotive get the cost of everything upfront or it will cost you !!

I brought my Mercedes Benz SL500 to Gil's shop for various repairs after receiving a recommendation from a used car sales manager. Gil's team did an excellent job of fixing the issues and Gil even suggested that I order the expensive parts directly to keep the cost down. I now take all my vehicles to Gil since he is the most competent and honest car mechanic I've ever dealt with.

After calling a bunch of mechanics in the Esco/San Marcos area to get my CV axle replaces, Gil was the only one with the right price. On top of this, his service was amazing. Every few minutes he would give an update of what was happening to make sure there's no surprise fee at the end. The transparency is superb. He's super reliable and honest. I haven't had an issue with my car since.

Just want to echo what pretty much every reviewer has said. Honest, very fair prices and does a great job at every time. His business is about a block from my work, been coming here for 5 years and now a few of my other co-workers now go to him too.

Went to Gil’s from a family recommendation. Gilbert diagnosed the suspension issue in about 20 minutes and a week later I was able to have him repair it. Great customer service, no hidden fees, and overall a great experience. First time using him and will be using his automotive services in the future.
