It’s been a while since I’ve set foot in a salon. One special occasions and have noticed allot has changed since.
I went to a nail salon for a manicure. My tech was nice and friendly and was pleased with the results because the shape of my nails is pretty, I love the color of polish he used but a few bumps. I didn’t complain because it looked great until I got home. I was in a rush that day.
On the other hand a few things caught my attention. 1. the Dremel he used had white dust on the drill bit left over from a previous client. 2. The utensils were rusty and not sanitized. 3. The hand file he used also had white dust embedded in it.
In the “old days” it was considered a health hazard to use utensils that weren’t clean! Is this no longer a concern in manicure? Also the fluffy brush he used had ‘old’ powder in it. Seems like this manicure was an infection waiting to happen or am I overly paranoid. Not sure if anyone else had noticed other than myself. Also one hand is lighter in color than the other.

The picture says it all. Being in such a rush isn't good as I got home I noticed the difference. I'm not sure where all the good reviews come from. They use rusty dirty utensils who've been already used by other customers. They aren't sanitized and who knows how long they been there. It was my first time there and I won't be back. There's a charge for Venmo too

Yesterday I wanted to get my hair cut last minute and I walked right in to Felicita Hair & Nail. I asked if they were busy (for me being a last minute walk in) they asked me what I needed? I told them a haircut. They welcomed me in right away! The man there was the only one available while everyone was busy with other clients. and I was hesitant because I usually only have had my hair cut by women. I showed him some pictures & ideas of what I wanted. He ended up telling me what was best for my hair. So i let him do his thing. I walked out of their salon with a smile on my face! I LOVE my haircut and my hair feels the healthiest it's felt in years! I think I just found my favorite haircut place in escondido & I can't wait to go back again! He is awesome! Very relaxed, friendly, and welcoming salon! I definitely recommend :)

My grandson (he’s 7 years old) has been coming to see Thomas for his haircuts since he was @ 3 years old. Thomas does such a great job! James is always happy with his haircuts too! Thomas is great with kids! I recommend coming here!!! I bring my 84 year old mom to see his sister Jackie too! She’s amazing!

Amazing! Just Amazing!! Both Jacque and Tom do excellent work! They are extremely friendly and professional! And very inexpensive!! Don’t like something, they will fix it!! The last time I had a manicure, it took 2 hours. I could have watched almost the whole first movie of the Godfather (or so it felt like). It was just a gel manicure. I won't mention the place because I only give good reviews. That said, I love this place. I got a beautiful manicure and it only took a half an hour. The owner is super nice. Definitely a go-backer!

I have gone to the same nail technician for over 15 years but I moved to Escondido and for the last six years I think I’ve tried every nail place there is. One Day we were at Walgreens and I saw felictia hair and nails Two days before I went to get a full set and it was supposed to be Ombré with some stones after paying $96 I was so disappointed the stones fell off the next day and there was no Ombré. So I think I’ve tried every nail salon there is in Escondido and they finally found the one the shop the only problem I have is it’s cash only and I am used to paying with a card that the owner was the one who did my nails I don’t know her name but it is everything I have been looking for she is nice she communicates she does what you ask her to do and she’s very upbeat I should I taken a before picture but let me tell you that she did a amazing job on my nails I do have my full cosmetology license and I don’t tell people about because we want to be treated like a normal person and this woman that did my nails is just amazing she turned my frown upside down no joke I recommend this place 110% so try it and don’t even think twice about it because their prices are more than decent and it’s a one stop shop hair and nails
