Updated review, 11/30/2022:Place has vastly improved. Generally helpful employees, only complaint is the system they use for transactions seems a bit dated and takes a fair amount of time but oh well.Old review, about 2019:Unhelpful employees, and an archaic disjointed way of doing business (writing tickets). They also don't mind to keep you waiting.NOTE: they will NOT perform any metal cuts 30min-closing time. (Essentially, they close some of their services 30 minutes prior to their advertised closing time.) I wish North County had another metal yard with similar (or more!) stock, and slightly longer hours on the weekdays and on Saturday.

I will not be shopping here anymore. Slowly but surely I've been making the trek to IMS more and more over the years. Today I called asking for a price on a 4x4 sheet and she quoted me. When I showed up, the guys tried to bury an extra 20 to shear the material to that size she gave me the quote for. No thanks. Not going to waste my time here again. Too bad since I've been coming here 20 years.

The worst metal yard I have ever been to. $20 per cut on a sheer you have to be kidding me. Don't shop here. I'm been buying metal for 10 years now worst worst place to go.

These idiots list scrap metal as .55 and .65 a pound but it's really $1.36 a pound. Even says .55 and .65 on the website AND on the whiteboard in their warehouse. Go to San Diego metal supply, much better and less shady.

Not too bad they have decent prices on some things and outrageous prices on others but anymore everybody thinks money grows on trees between the pandemic and the fuel prices it's no surprise we will all be broke sooner or later everybody takes advantage of the situation

Really bad service, I purchase a piece of metal sheet for a project it was purchase by the pound it was only $11.00 dollars I was told it wasn't returnable, they have signs hanging but on the receipt is a different policy B.S.

They sell wrought iron for decorative window and balcony features, and offer welding services too. Aluminum, stainless steel, iron and bar stock. Will cut to your specs for a small fee. Very good service.

The staff was super helpful with letting me know they had the aluminum piece I was looking for. I called ahead and the woman who answered the phone checked stock and had an answer for me in seconds. When I got to the warehouse, I checked in with her and she showed me around to the area where I could ask one of the warehouse employees for help. I got the piece of metal I needed and they cut it in half for me so it'd fit in my car. I was in & out in under 10 mins. Great service and the quality of metal was exactly what I needed! Will definitely be back for future projects.

Went in yesterday afternoon 4:40pm....they close at 5. Needed one 20'...3 cuts. They said the saw was closed. Why stay open then...if the saw closes for the day at a certain time then you should be closed. The guy in yard was polite...just poor operation.

I have used Escondido Metal Supply for several years. They always have what I need, their prices are as good or better than any place I've found. I have not had problems with their customer service. They will continue to be my first choice when I need metal.

I bought metal scraps so I can practice my welding skills. The metal was reasonably price. Their were quite a few customers so I had to wait my turn.

Don't Waste your time. The staff is unprofessional in the way they communicate with their customers. They were rude, and it is clear that do not care for the customers needs. Their job is to facilitate good customer relations and rapport. Instead, I got a snippy attitude when asking for a basic quote. I am no longer a customer but will think about returning if the atmosphere changes. The Guys in the yard though have always been helpful and polite.
