Went to go look at a car that was send to my local Carmax. 26k mile Lexus just under 30k$, if the alignment, brakes, interior and exterior were straight I was going to buy it. It was rush hour and they wanted to go for a test drive (first bad sign). Right away I could see the headlights were in poor shape, one wasn't even road worthy. The right front wheel was curb rashed badly even the right rear wheel had damage. The weatherstriping was also shot on the window on this side. I know these places don't negotiate so I let the purple salesmen know it was shameful they would try to sell such a low milage car without putting any work into it. He responded that it had been in an accident and that's why it looked like that. I responded, "I expect all damages to be repaired." I let the poor man (seriously I feel bad your company did this too you) know to let his boss know they could have sold a car today. Then I was told I could buff out the lights if I bought it. I looked up the parts required to recondition this vehicle they were thirteen hundred dollars. This was probably their entire profit margin and I was going to be nice and let them finance atleast 10k$.

They did everything they said they would do, they gave me everything they said they would give me, and it was the smoothest transaction i've ever had selling a car. I would go to Carmax any time. They offered me more than two times what a dealer offered me in trade. Unbelievable.

Wanted to sell my car within few weeks. Carmax valued my car online and it was by far the best offer. It was 11% higher than the best dealership offer and 5% more than Carvana. I walked through a few dealerships and Carmax customer service (we worked with Sunny) was by far the best. The appraisal and process was fair and quick. All done in about 30 mins, walked out with check in hand.

I had a great time looking at cars. I purchased one with Maria and I told her I wanted GAP insurance multiple times , but she was so focused on me getting the Car Max Insurance so she can get her extra bonus , and when i called to see if I had the GAP they said I didn't and would have Maria call me. Never got a call or anything . I guess its my fault for not looking over the contract thuoroghly . But still wanted a call back to clarify.

I worked with Percy from the Escondido location and my experience was awesome, He made sure everything was smooth and the paperwork complete and told me about many of the features of my new ride. Would recommend Percy to everyone. The Escondido location should know that they have a true asset on their hands and he really treats people well. He is a wealth of knowledge. This is our 3rd car from Carmax and would definitely be coming back.
