I have been with this bank since they were Grossmont bank back in the 90s, and customer service has always been excellence, small lines, never waiting very long, and once when my debit card was hijacked, they called me immediately.

You won't find a better bank around. I've been going to this bank for decades and they always make the biggest effort to welcome everyone. They go out of their way to help you... they genuinely care about you! They always have a great attitude and work well as a team. Bravo to Denette and Christy for doing an outstanding job of running this Bank!

Banks are banks Cash is king this location is actually pretty difficult to get in and out of but their customer service is excellent which is why I keep coming back.

This is the best bank around. You can tell how wonderful Kay and Christi are as managers by the positive, kind, friendly, helpful attitudes and great team work displayed by their employees. They are so caring, they all genuinely care to help. This bank feels like a true community bank. I love this bank!

Two lost checks--important checks--this year by CB&T online banking. Bank gave different reasons why it happened the first time. Second time, online banking won't talk to me even though I have all the proper forms filed as Power of Attorney on the account. Local branch didn't even offer to help resolve this. Told me to call the number again that refused to talk with me. Will be closing this account soon. In contrast, I have never had a problem with my credit union's online banking (Mission Federal).

Small town bank atmosphere, have dealt with them since 1995 and most of the employees I know there have retired or are still there. The staff are wonderful at not making you feel like just a number or a statistic. I moved away for a while and had closed my account. After coming back to San Diego, I went into the Vista Branch and must say that I couldn't believe the difference a staff can make. I almost discounted doing business with Ca Bank And Trust based on the experience at the Vista Branch but decided to go to the Escondido Branch to see if anyone I knew was still there, Cristy was still there and I opened two accounts and couldn't be happier.

After coming back to San Diego, I went into the Vista Branch and must say that I couldn't believe the difference a staff can make. I almost discounted doing business with Ca Bank And Trust based on the experience at the Vista Branch but decided to go to the Escondido Branch to see if anyone I knew was still there, Cristy was still there and I opened two accounts and couldn't be happier. Interesting thing is that I escalated a complaint about how I was treated at the Vista Branch and I received from someone to get details, I explained to whomever that person was what had happened and how that staff member (Supervisor level) had insulted me and treated me like a criminal... I was trying to cash a check. They had my California Drivers License, they confirmed that the funds were available on "their commercial account" from which the check had been drawn, They called my employer to make sure that the check was valid and that it had been written to me through our payroll department, she asked our payroll clerk to verify my identity... I work for a large company with a large long standing relationship with Ca. Bank and Trust and then after that she wanted to speak to the Check Signers who are the Company Principle and the Company Controller... (This company has over 100 employees) and right about then, I asked why she needs to speak to my company president and the controller... she got snippy and said it was because of the size of the check... it was only like $2,400.00 or so. Well the short of it is that I left shaken at how deep she went to try and prove to herself that I was a bad guy and by her attempt to validate to herself obviously her unfounded suspicions about me but WHY? I was in casual clothes, etc... so anyhow, after I went and opened two accounts in Escondido and after I explained this to someone via phone call ... from the corporate office (?), they said that they would look it as they take these reports very seriously.... I never received a follow up call... BUT ESCONDIDO IS THE BOMB! Great people and friendly service with a smile. Stay away from the Vista Branch... just my opinion and my review.

I have been banking with California Bank & Trust for about 1 year. I have to say that the customer service we receive from Kay is excellent. Kay always goes above and beyond to take care of us. I would highly recommend this bank if you are looking for great customer service.

I have banked at this branch for 30+ years. I have never had a problem with anything or any employee. All are very helpful when I need anything. The San Marcos branch is closer to my home and I sometimes go there for service. I would certainly recommend these branch's to anyone.
