Our Van blew a head gasket on our way to a music festival. The nearest AAA approved mechanic was Brian's. I'm sure glad he was the closest. He did his best to try and get us back on the road that day but unfortunately the news was bad. He was nice enough to let us leave the van there so we could continue to the festival in another vehicle. They even helped push her onto the tow bed when we came to have her moved. Top notch service and very friendly.

I love this mechanic shop. Brian has always been honest about the needs of my vehicle, even to the point of letting me know that I didn't need to pay for services I thought I needed. ❤️Gotta love someone who will turn down business because it's not best for their customers!

Great mechanic. Brian's a super nice guy as well as Candice at the front desk. Able to squeeze you in even if when booked solid. Couple times when they can't find the problem right away and they didn't even charge me for diagnostic and I had to leave my car for a few days. Good honest people.

I am disappointed to have to leave 2 Stars for Brian's Automotive. I have been to Brian's multiple times because I do believe that he's an "honest mechanic" as in I don't feel like he would charge for something just to make a buck.. however, I won't be returning after my last "service". My car has been having issues starting, I took it to Brian's, getting it towed multiple times all the way from Ocean Beach, because I'm from Escondido and believed I could trust them to do a thorough job and figure out why I was having trouble getting it to turn over. Well, a week after I get it towed there I call to check on the status. I get transferred to Brian and he says "Oh, the car that starts every time?" in a very demeaning way. Like I'm some idiot that doesn't know how to turn a key and somehow I was mistaken that the car wouldn't start. He says the only thing he could do was change the radiator cap because it was broken.. ok.. cool.. Does that mean I can come pick it up? Yes. Which means they had no intention of reaching out to tell me my car was ready and good to go. I had to leave it there for 2 days because of work and then when I come to pick it up he says "oh, it's been sitting for a few days so I'll probably have to jump it". Ok...? I don't know much about mechanics so I just thought that was a normal occurrence after leaving an older vehicle for a few days. I take it home and 20 minutes later when I try to leave for work it won't start. I called Brian & his suggestion is that I call AAA and get a new battery. At this point I was so upset that I had left my car with them for over a week and they did nothing to help me. I am doubtful that he tried to start my car, because it is clearly in the same state that I had dropped it off in. Super disappointed with the quality of service and customer service unfortunately.

Been a few times now and I am done. The last time, they did work on my vehicle that I did not authorize and still charged me for it. I have always had to actively call for updates on my vehicle as well. On most occasions, I have seen and experienced the office staff exuding an air of "why are you wasting my time," to certain demographics. Finally, very conservative vibe ~ NewsMax or Fox News on the large tv in the office; picture of Trump on the wall; 55+ white male friendly). If this is the atmosphere you can tolerate or even enjoy, they will certainly keep your vehicle running. If you don't have time for this, look elsewhere.

I was looking to have my car looked at by these guys. I get that a private business can do as they please, but bringing religion or politics into your business, you'll lose customers. Then you're stick pandering to those that remained. Shame really.
