Really nice staff. Well stocked for a quick run instead of going to Home Depot or Lowes.

The people here are very helpful the store is clean neatly organized and the prices aren't much different than anywhere else you would go. It's nice to have an ace hardware in the neighborhood because they are often useful!

Dumbest people in North County must be working there. Website says they have an item in stock but yet they can’t find it and they don’t know when they can order it, they don’t do special orders. No wonder why Home Depot and Lowe’s are putting them out of business with idiots like this there.

This is the second time Ace had tried to make it at this location and I really wanted to support them in hopes that would be successful this time around. Unfortunately, because Ace stores are individually owned, they get to make up their own policies. I bought a small item from an Ace while in Palm Desert, which turned out to be hanging on the wrong peg and was not what I needed. The Escondido Ace is a mile from my house. I brought the item in to exchange and was going to purchase other items but was told that "this owner" would not accept returns or exchanges from other Ace stores. That is a ridiculous policy. I can buy a product in any Home Depot or Lowe's and return it to my local store or any other of their stores. Evidently, this owner thinks I should drive 3 hours back to the Ace in Palm Desert to exchange it. This is just bad business and isn't a way to gain customers. Good luck competing with the big box stores with these types of policies. I won't be supporting this Ace going forward.

Went in there today looking for a gear sprocket , they didn’t have it ( not their fault google is a deceiver -_- )but I had gone to a Home Depot Walmart Lowe’s and a harbor freight before I got there and in all those stores not once did I get the help like I did form the fine people at Ace’s. I didn’t get any names wish I did to give personal shout outs to but y’all really “ The place with the helpful hardware folks” truly astonished I know it’s small but 10 stars.

We are just moving into the neighborhood and decided to stop in this Ace hardware store. What a great experience we had. They literally took us by the hand to show us the items we were looking for. At times, two associates were helping us out. Incredible experience. I'm so glad we stopped in.

I stopped at the Ace Hardware store this morning to see if they carried a type of putty used to secure objects during an earthquake. The clerk had no idea what I was talking about but instead of just telling me they do not carry that item he said I should speak English better. As a PhD graduate of UC Berkeley and a college professor I can well assure you my English is not the issue. If he did not understand my request he could have said so rather than deflecting his apparent confusion by insulting me. It is great to have the Ace store open again. It is so unfortunate they have hired rude, uncaring and ignorant staff.

My family bought a irrigation timer which didn't work so we went back to return it but they wouldn't accept the return because we didn't have the packaging or the physical receipt and they said they couldn't look it up off of the card or my phone number (which most places can). The manager Jose sounded like a human chat bot and just kept saying that it was policy. I was originally happy that this store reopened but I will no longer be supporting them because of this.

Do not buy a Big Green Egg here! They are listed as an authorized dealer on Big Green Egg's website but they will not do a warranty replacement for you. The reason that BGE's are so expensive is because of the lifetime warranty. I purchased my BGE back in 2006 from an Ace Hardware but moved away several years ago. I came in to this Ace Hardware to do a warranty replacement for a covered part and they told me that's something that you do thru Big Green Egg not us. It is very clear on the warranty that any authorized dealer can replace parts for you and they are my closest BGE dealer. They said we can't find the part and basically told me to pound sand. They sell BGE's at this store but they won't take care of the warranty. Please support a local business by buying a BGE that will also take care of your warranty.
