My experience just now was beyond unacceptable. After just receiving my Covid booster vaccine at the Kaiser across the street I was thirsty/hungry so I went here. I’m someone who is guilty of taking my time and usually grabbing a basket and spending $30-$50 whenever I go! As soon as I entered I saw sunglasses to my left and a few looked cute so I decided to try a few on. When I walked in, I had my own sunglasses on top of my head. So after trying a few on, I was into one pair but not 100% sure. So I snapchatted a pic of me in then to a few friends for their input. Suddenly the employee at the register asked me a weirdly worded question in a very disrespectful tone. I don’t want to quote without knowing her exact words but it was something along the lines of “are you okay? What are you doing?”. I was a bit lost for words and replied “um yes, I’m looking and trying on the sunglasses….”. Since that was obvious I could tell her odd questions were showing me she was suspicious of me and I felt as though me wearing a beanie and not having makeup on for whatever reason made her unfairly profile me and then treat me with utter disrespect. After I answered her question I added “is that a problem? Am I not allowed to try these on?” She replied “well you’ve been there 30 minutes!”. Funny thing is, the sunglasses were not placed in the correct spots(they were organized by type w/ each type having a price point. So when I put each pair back I took the time to put them in the correct place. Guess I shouldn’t have as that took more time(more of my time), but having worked in retail for years I am respectful when it comes to that. So, with her anger comment I obviously felt VERY uncomfortable and embarrassed. So I asked “am I allowed to still buy things?”. She replied “are you actually going to buy something?”. So I grabbed what I wanted, I didn’t grab as much as usual as I was upset. At checkout I still brought up over $20 in merchandise and after ringing it up I swiped my ebt card and then she unbelievably said “okay so “26.95 cash”. Confused I said what? She said “ For the glasses”. Mind you only their highest priced glasses are that expensive. I never touched those. Only the $14.99 and $16.99 ones. Anyways I said what glasses? She said the ones on my head! The ones I WALKED IN WITH, that were not a brand they sell, had no tags, just unbelievable. I said those were mine, showed her their brand, even said to check my bags if she wanted! She made me wait forever, my Slurpee was melted by the end, as someone checked the cameras. I was shocked like this was beyond wrong but i knew if they checked the cameras at least they’d see I came in with them. The other employee came back as they whispered together, and expecting it to be resolved and to receive an apology she instead had an employee grab a pair of their sunglasses to see the brand! I couldn’t understand why she was doing this after checking the cameras. She also asked for my bags and at that point i was really upset and knew my rights. Abd they checked the cameras! Abd she watches me like a hawk the whole time after I started trying on the glasses so when would I have been able to steal? Remove tags with adhesive? So messed up. So once she finally must have realized I didn’t do a damn thing wrong she told me to swipe my card for the food. Honestly, I didn’t want to spend ANY of my money there anymore. But I had taken a few sips of the Slurpee so I felt I should pay for that and I was so hungry I kept one of the two bags of chips but said I wasn’t going to buy the rest due to how uncool and rude this all was. She then says “I knew that would happen”. I said what? Her reply “everytime people come and linger forever they don’t buy anything”. I then corrected her and said “what? I DID buy things, I had already swiped my card for over $25 worth, so that doesn’t apply to me at all. And I only took most off because of this completely unbelievable treatment!” This was a case of judging someone unfairly & then treating them like a criminal.

Do not go to the store they don’t give receipts and sell expired food and snacks and when you ask for a refund they don’t do it because you have no receipt but you just saw the same person coming to the store a second ago cannot exchange because everything is expired. You are here to serve the community not take a vantage and without the community there will be no store.

The late night staff is very rude the asian guy. He talks mean to my 13 year old and my 11 year old. While he is working he doesnt let my boys in to buy anything. Tonight right before he came in for his shift my sn went in to buy cookies from Miss Jessica andas my son was exiting the store the guy made a rude comment to my son and said who the freak you think you are you cant come shop here. No one else refuses my families service. Its really sad to jave a staff member make your company look bad especially being rude to children. He really shouldnt be working there if so he should being working under supervision of another staff member.

The Asian guy that worked the night shift Saturday July 9, 2022, (who can barely speak English), was very disrespectful to a couple ladies with children. He told them that they could save money if they stop eating and die. Then, he had the audacity to be gloating about it to other customers of what he had said to the two ladies and was laughing about it as if it was funny. I’ve been coming to this 711 for almost a year and never seen him before, he must be new. It’s a shame to have someone like him working there.

I go to this 7-Eleven cause it's right down the street from my house. I usually don't have any issues, but yesterday night (10/17/21) I went in to grab a few items. Another guy entered the store at the same time as me. An older Asian man was the only person working behind the counter. The other guy beat me to the register so I got in line. He set his items down and I though the cashier had started ringing him up. After not hearing anything for about 10 seconds I turned around and saw that the guy was completely asleep standing up and was just swaying behind the counter. After about 30 seconds the guy checking out started to talk to the guy trying to wake him up and after about a minute of going "Hey dude are you ok?" the cashier finally opened his eyes and said "Oh sorry, long day haha". It looks like we were not the first to encounter this guy. Please look into him, he is a liability to your business and to your customers. We could have both walked out of there and he would have had zero idea.

This time I went in for a 10ft cell phone cable. It cost a few more dollars but is worth it since its right round the corner from me. I shop there often. And great job for cashiers too. Very friendly and lots of smiles.
