I met with Yijun Chen, MD. I reported that I have gained 20 pounds in the last six months and asked to be screened for possible underlying issues to the excessive weight gain recently. The doctor said there are no tests for excessive weight gain and said the only solution is surgery or medication. I am not a doctor, but I know changes in hormones and issues with Thyroid can cause weight gain and I’m sure there are other issues that can cause weight gain, however I am not a doctor. I asked him multiple times about trying to find an underlying issue for my weight gain and multiple times. He said there is nothing that can be done. Do NOT go here. They do not care about their patients, they only care about prescribing medication or surgery.

I got there 15 minutes too late so the doctor couldn't see me. I am notorious for being late. I really tried this time. I left early and every shortcut I could think of. The traffic from North Hollywood to Encino has gotten so much worse over the years.
What used to take 20 minutes is now 45 or more!

Absolute cash grab from these guys, be VERY, VERY CAREFUL.My family and I have been coming to this location for the last 7 years - and I have seen first hand the prices for anything and everything sky rocket.I called in and explained on the phone that I am in-between jobs but need to have a xray done on my hip to make sure everything is OK.I was told Cash price to see the doctor would be $220 , and that I would have to talk to the lab about xrays, which turned out to be $125. Fine, no problem. Went in, talked to the doctor for 2 minutes and went to leave to get my xray.On the way out they wanted $600.... and that was with a 30% discount they said. That would have made the 2 min doctor visit $858!!!!Told me $220 on the phone, and charged me $858. The xray lab that I spent more then 10x the time in only charged me $125, but the 2 min doctor visit went from $220 to $858??No one at the Encino location can help, they will just give you the physicians billing number just like alot of the other reviews talk about, and they will just get rude with you.Outright criminal. You guys are supposed to be there to help people, shame on you.

I'm disappointed. I had hoped to get help. I feel like no lives matter. We are all expendable. These people look at me as a money source. But they have turned medical care backwards. They don't call back. It's there way of saying go away. Pain is unimaginable. I am a dead man

I would never take anyone I loved here. If my enemy came to me and asked me for medical help, I would drive them straight to UCLA Health. Every UCLA Health I have ever been to has been a disaster.

recently had an unfortunate experience with Doctor Kardashian, and I must say that they are better off pursuing a career in reality TV with the other Kardashians rather than practicing medicine. My encounter with Doctor Kardashian left me frustrated and dissatisfied, and I strongly advise others to steer clear of their services if your a veteran and go through community care. They just overcharge the government and do not care about veterans or their patients. All they see is dollar signs.First and foremost, the inefficiency and lack of professionalism displayed by Doctor Kardashian's office were astounding. It took a staggering five months for them to provide me with my medical records, and even then, they refused to give me the doctor's email address. As a patient, I expect timely access to my medical information, and this unnecessary delay only added to my frustration. Additionally, when I attempted to seek assistance from another UCLA office, I was forced to endure an hour-long hold, wasting valuable time and exacerbating my dissatisfaction. One of the main reasons I sought Doctor Kardashian's expertise was to undergo a colonoscopy and obtain accurate biopsy results. However, their lackadaisical approach and an inadequate number of biopsies were genuinely disappointing. After enduring the inconveniences of fasting, preparing for the procedure, and incurring significant medical expenses, it was disheartening to discover that the necessary biopsies were not performed with due diligence. Consequently, my gastroenterologist was unable to draw conclusive conclusions based on the insufficient data provided, rendering the entire process futile.Overall, my experience with Doctor Kardashian was profoundly negative. Their inability to handle basic administrative tasks efficiently and their failure to conduct an adequate number of biopsies severely impacted the quality of care I received. I strongly discourage anyone seeking medical assistance from Doctor Kardashian, as their skills and commitment to patient care appear to be more aligned with the world of reality TV rather than the medical profession.on.

The Encino office is one of my favorite. It's located in the plaza where AAA in the valley use to be. This location has a lab for blood work, primary care physicians and imaging. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The building and rooms are very clean. *There is a parking lot in the building (free validation if you eat or order to go at the cafe) *Metered Parking on the streets

October 2022, I was told I needed a cardiac catheterization procedure urgently within a month by Dr. Ramin Assadi, and to stop all strenuous activity or risk having a heart attack. They said they'd schedule me ASAP. Thanksgiving came and I still hadn't heard anything so I sent a message through their patient portal, which promised a response within 48 hours. I communicate with all my UCLA doctors via their patient portal. I never heard from Dr. Assadi's office for over a week, so I had to call to find out what was happening, and learned they hadn't even begun the paperwork. I left many messages on the patient portal over the course of three months. Not a single time did I get a response. Each time I'd call to get the answer to my question a week or so after posting it. At least three times I specifically asked them to respond via the portal and not to call me. After no response to my last request for an updated, I called them. It was only by calling them I learned they had dropped me as a patient and would no longer see me. When I spoke to the doctor's assistant, he was well aware of the contents of my last message, and still failed to even tell me that they could not see me. This has been the worst, most stressful six months of my life. It has caused me undue suffering and sent me into clinical depression. I would not recommend the cardiology clinic to anybody. That said, all of the other doctors I see at UCLA clinics respond to messages within hours, listen and are responsive, do what they say they're going to do, and I love them.

This review is for the thyroid radiology department! The tech Kelly was excellent! As was dr famini my endocrinologist at Ucla encino. I have multiple sclerosis Parkinson's and pre diabetes which dr famin found in first visit but thyroid tech was gentle king and winderful with a displaced disc in my neck. Both Famini and the thyroid dept I highly recommend along with the lab staff.

Got two referrals from my doctor for a procedure and another doctor. Both were not handled correctly by the incompetent office staff. In each case, they filed for authorization to the insurance carrier last minute and the paperwork did not go through on time, which made me reschedule all appointments after waiting for them for several months. The people that answer the phones are cordial and nice but nobody takes responsibility and nobody calls you back even if they promise to do so.

My doctor was great, but this practice is useless if you sick because they won’t see you unless you have a negative COVID test (home one’s don’t count). What good is a primary care physician that is too afraid to see you?I will happily find a new PCP.

Dr. William Martin at UCLA Encino RHEUMATOLOGY treats me with respect. He listens to my concerns for that visit and proactively thinks of how we can seek treatment or undeniably verify that it is or is not a concern. He is patient with questions and has a good bedside manner. My case has been quite complicated, but he hasn't given up and continues to advocate for my treatment regarding my mobility and extenuating circumstances. He seems to truly empathize with how my disease impacts my quality of life.

My first few visits to this office were pleasant. The doctor I saw was nice and friendly. However today I probably have to find a new one because when I called this morning to make an appointment, the receptionist made me feel so unwelcome as if my call was annoying her.

Scheduled an appointment for my 92 year old Mom. while making the appointment, I informed the receptionist that the reason for the visit was because she was sick and had a cough (which at her age can easily become Bronchitis, or Pneumonia) and wanted to come in for a check up. I informed the young lady that we were BOTH COVID NEGATIVE as I had tested both of us. 24 hours before the appointment upon confirming the appointment, they asked the reason for the visit, AGAIN. I told them AGAIN, it was because my mom was sick. It was only at this time, I was informed that I could not bring her in without proof of a COVID test uploaded to their portal. Why didn't they tell me that at the time I made the appointment??? It was very poor communication, as I never spoke to the same person twice. Imagine living in a world where you cant bring a sick person to the Doctor! Oh wait, we're there. Cookie cutter operation. Beware.
