My family and I have been coming to Vartan maybe 20+ years. There isn't another business or business owner I would prefer to give a better review to. This is one of the best businesses in the entire SFV. Thank you for everything Vartan. ? I wish I lived closer.

First time customer in Encino. I brought in two individual shoes to have their soles reglued, plus a pair of boots which needed a complete resole job. These are all shoes I've had for years and I'm very attached to them. I'm so glad to have them back and in good condition again. Vartan did the repair work very professionally and on time.

Talk about a hidden treasure-- the cobbler that works here is incredibly knowledgable and was able to salvage a very dear pair of shoes for my father. I immediately had him spiff up all of my well-worn shoes, and they've never looked better. He always did exactly what I requested, ensuring that he knew what parts of the shoe I wanted repaired/cleaned or left alone. I'm remiss that I don't live close enough to bring him my shoes anymore.

I have been bringing my leather dog leashes here for years for repair when my dog chews through them. Fast, inexpensive service. Very nice repairman. Highly recommend this place. Free parking in back.

Hands down the best Shoe repair place I've ever been. I have a 20 year old pair of Mezlan shoes I bought at Nordstrom's, and these guys have been keeping them fresh for years. As a Professional Realtor, I walk for three hours everyday...door knocking to find business. My shoes take a beating. After bringing them to a well respected / advised shoe repair place in Burbank, He took one look at my shoes and told me, "I cannot do these." So, back to Shoe Express. Vardan takes one look at my shoes, says no problem. I ask him if he can keep the natural patina of the leather peeking through the polish, instead of polishing the leather with so much that it looks all monotone, brown. He said, I understand, no problem. He did new Italian soles. New heels. Repaired heavily scuffed toe and other sections of my shoes. Polished perfectly and replaced the laces for free. My 20 year old shoes are like new again and more comfortable than ever. Thanks guys. You always blow me away.

I grew up nearby and my family has always gone to Shoe Express for repairs. Anything you need they can do it! Cleaning, repairs, new soles so your shoes won't slip, etc. A real mom and pop business and the owner has always been friendly. Most importantly my shoes always look great, even better than when I originally bought them.

Vartan is the best! Very cordial and professional. You can tell that he takes pride in his craft. He repaired my boyfriend's boots and we got it back well conditioned. Would definitely go back and recommend him.

Had to have a couple of patches sewn onto my dog's vest. This place (located right across Ventura Blvd from Encino Park and next to the 76 gas station) was fast and surprisingly not more expensive than other shops in the area. They charged me $10 to sew two small patches onto her vest and that was quite reasonable. The final result was perfectly aligned and centered - couldn't be happier. Pay attention to the restrictive parking sign situation in front, though there are a few spaces in the alley to the rear of the place. In the immortal words of Arnold, "I'll be back." UPDATE: I have been back more than a few times and each time they did a great job.

Work here locally (Encino) and have been using his services consistently with no problems for over seven years. Superior service, professionalism, and workmanship. He has repaired , cleaned, and refurbished men's and women's footwear. Everything from boots, to shoes, to sandals, for my very demanding clients and their "high end" to common footwear. His prices are very fair for the work he does. He is an old school Cobbler which is rare to find these days. You get what you pay for so expect to pay craftsman prices. He is very good.

WORST shoe repair place EVER! I took my favorite sandals for a quick repair and came out with the ugliest sandals ever! Not only did they mess up my shoes, but they refused to discount it or work on it more for me until I saw what I liked. They totally did not do what I asked and had the nerves to even ask me to pay for it! Not to mention, it took them FOREVER to have them ready for pickup! Save yourself the time & effort. Just go somewhere else.

The best shoe repair, dye, etc, literally everything!!!!!!!!! They have made the most amazing custom gator bags and shoes for me!!!!!!! All my friends and family have all their fancy shoes, handbags, and boots, vintage and new repaired or whatever needs you have. Ask for the owner Vartan, he will take care of you. :)
