I love that it’s quiet. I came in for the first time and had to return the next day for my nails to be fixed. Today I was hung up on. I called back and the woman was so rude! I won’t return. Shocking for Encino! I guess they were overly busy l: I thought I would give them a second chance because you can peel off the polish. I called Wonderland Nail and Spa. Although the English was not good, they were accommodating and told me to come in in 30 minutes no problem.

I tried the salon Hands to hold in Encino for the first time.I got an acrylic fill with a gel nail polish.
The technician who did my nails was too fast .
A day later the gel polish started to peel .It never happened in my previous place I used to do my nails.I went on vacation and I was very disappointed. I needed to re do my nails again.
I will not use their service again.

They took me last minute, thank you! Great convenient location. Not super thrilled on the Orly selection but it's ok in a pinch. The lady doing my nails was very kind and efficient. I would return

I wanted to share my recent experience during my nail appointment. Unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations, as my skin was burned three times with the machine and I felt uncomfortable . This has left me disheartened, as I genuinely enjoy coming to your salon. I believe in the quality of your service, and I hope we can address these concerns together to ensure a more positive experience in the future.

This was my first time here. My usual nail place is far and I needed a place closer. Counter lady was nice. Chairs seemed old, but atmosphere seemed ok. I liked the running water on the wall. I wanted an acrylic fill with Gel polish I showed up on time and then was told to sit and wait. Which I did for 25 minutes. No one came over to say anything to me. And 25 minutes!! At 20 min in, I was asked if I want to buy a massage. I told the nail lady I was waiting for my appointment that started 20 min ago. They were shocked but pointed to a guy still working on some other women's nails. 5 min later he came over to work on my nails. So 25 min after my set appointment time, my service started. The guy was nice but he seemed to be rushing through everything. I didn't see the color I wanted on the Gel nail selections, so the counter lady said she had a solution and plucked one out from somewhere on the wall. The shape I wanted on my nails was wrong, the guy tried but didn't get it right at all. The length of all the nails aren't the same either. The polish feels slightly sticky if that makes sense. My nails don't have the smooth feel, I usually have after getting gel polish. My cuticles are not great either. Maybe this guy was over booked, or on a time crunch. That's how it felt. He was nice tho. So I won't be returning here at all, and will continue hunt for a closer nail place.

As a guy, that whole masculinity complex shows up when even considering going to a nail salon. I wanted to get the dry/dead skin on the bottom of my foot removed hence was the reason why I was searching for a spot to go to. I've now gone here 3 times and each time the pedicure has been awesome and nonjudgmental. Highly recommend getting one from these people because they are efficient and nice and they help calm the nerves (I know that sounds funny). Highly recommend hands to hold and just overall getting your nails done as men.

Vu is the best nail guy in the business. I've had acrylics for a long time and when Vu does it they never lift. I get pedicures with Kathy and my toes never looked so good, she's the best. I've been to many nail shops but I highly recommend Hands to Hold.

I thought I would try a new nail shop. Called for an appointment received a text to confirm the time which was nice. The nail salon chairs are really old and worn down. Even though I wanted a mani, pedi the massage chairs didn't work and they brought a tub of water to soak my feet old school. The lady that took off the old gel manicure used an electrical file and made my nails paper thin and this morning my nails hurt. All together not a good experience. Staff was unfriendly Furniture was old Service way below average

The team here is nice and really accommodating, I needed my nails done and short notice and they got me in quickly but the overall experience for what you pay was not what I expected. My cuticles were barely treated, the color I selected ultimately did not match, and the finish on it was poor. There are clearly spots where the top layer missed spots and it's rough and chipping quickly and the overall polish job was sloppy. The person who did my nails also stood up abruptly, went outside and smoked, and came back to finish my nails. I also sat next to a pedicure stool that had nail clippings not cleaned off it It sounds like experiences vary by who you get, but for what you pay here it should be consistent.

Hands to Hold has a sign above their concierge desk stating that showing them a Yelp review will earn a 10% discount. The sign doesn't say that a Yelp review has to be a recent one. Ronnie, the owner of Hands to Hold, refused to honor my Yelp review with a 10% discount. He asked me to write another review since my 5 star review was from some years back. Chris the manager seems to be very people orientated, greets the guests very well upon arrival and has been there for years now. The technicians are the same, nice people and have been there for years! If you need the works done to your hands and toes then hurry up don't put it off, Hands to Hold is the go to spot.
