Microblading is a technique using a super fine hand tool (typically, a bundle of 12-21 needles) to deposit pigment into skin. The tip is so thin, in fact, that it can create hair strokes that look legit.
Microshading is a technique using a manual or electric tool with minimal needles which administrates tiny, pin-like dots in a gradient pattern, creating a powdered effect.
As with both techniques, these needles reach only into the superficial layers of the skin, which is what makes these methods semi-permanent.
