In November my phone started having strange problems. Have visited the Encinitas store probably half a dozen times since then. Always have a long wait, and no one can fix it. They had me call Tech Support, who couldn't help and started a work order. I was told it would take a week and still haven't heard. I'm done!

I've never met less helpful people in my life. There's a lady who stands at a desk at the entrance, calls herself a manager but when you ask for help she says "I can't leave this spot" not a single employee seemed like they were slightly interested in helping anyone in the store and even when they did help the knowledge was limited. I planned on grabbing a few things, got so frustrated with the lack of help that I just I ordered from Amazon while I was still in the store. Might have to wait a day or two for my item but oh well! This was not my first experience like this at this location. I can't think of a reason I'll ever return to this store.

Just walked out of this location after waiting 30 minutes standing around for anyone to even acknowledge my presence. I waited patiently in full view of all four sales persons. Not one even said hello or gave any indication they would soon be able to assist. I have never had this experience in any Verizon corporate store. I walked out and they didn't even notice that. It is 5pm and their closing time. They lost a sale, as I was ready to upgrade to an iPhone 15 Pro max, plus two new lines for a watch and new iPad. I had spent one week researching my options with Verizon and was ready to purchase. I had wanted to give my business to the Encinitas corporate location. Never again. What kind of management allows this to happen? Shame. I'm fast having doubts about remaining with Verizon.

Elle, who claimed to be the manager, was beyond rude and unhelpful. Verizon promised us the holiday plan of trading in your old phone for a new one and made a mistake in the process and promised a quick fix. We went to one location first who couldn’t help us and said all we needed was to go to a corporate store and get them to clear the “pending” on an order. So we go here and have even more issues. Elle said they had no appointments open; understandable. But then she told us to go AGAIN to another store that may or not be busy and wouldn’t even call the store to help us with the one task of checking if they’re busy or not after we had been referred to this store who couldn’t help us after the first one, so we were doubtful. She finally did call after some push back, but in doing so ran to the back to complain about us to her coworker. Unprofessional beyond belief and downright rude. Wouldn’t recommend here due to their rudeness and unwillingness to help in the slightest. You literally have to beg.

I came in store and saw it was not very busy at all. The greeting lady finally approached me and check me in after waiting for 5 minutes in the front. This was a new, extremely unfriendly young woman with a terrible attitude. She told me no one could help me today and I would have to come back in four days to get service. I could see employees sitting around, not working with other customers. She confronted me disrespectfully that no one can help me again and when would I like an appointment? Very rudely she walked away and I stood there to observed the situation to make sure I was seeing it correctly. I hope she gets fired soon!

I'm tired of people trying to sneak in extra "perks" and saying it's a deal. It's not a deal if I don't want it. It felt so slimy I had to walk out.

The worst customer service. They doomed Me into internet that isn't working. Paid 500 dollars one month and wouldn't see they made an error. Switched to tmibile and saving 150 a Month. Spent 10 hours on phone with customer serv ce. Blown off by this store also it's more than 25 a month for internet. Totally screwed

Scammers. Came into activate my ESIM and was told I can get a second line on my phone for free. It was not in fact free. It raised my bill 10$ and now I've wasted 30 minutes on the phone with customer service trying to get my bill back to normal. Sad.

Terrible customer service and a very strange interaction with one of the employees.Went in to get the new iphone and the sales rep was making incorrect claims about 5G ultra wideband only available for the new iphone 15 and that it is only available through the top tier, contracted plan. As a 4+ year prepaid customer, I know that ultra wideband is also available at the top tier of those uncontracted plans. It's unclear if this was ignorance, lying, or miscommunication, but it was a very bad start to our interaction. As we continued to stumble through the details of a simple phone and plan upgrade, this employee was impatient, careless, and distant. He explained the billing breakdown of a potential new plan without detail, rattling off numbers out of thin air and becoming frustrated when we didn't understand them. We had to ask every question multiple times because these seemingly simple phone plan charges were not being explained clearly. We eventually nodded and pretended like we understood what he was talking about to avoid receiving another sigh in response to our questions. At one point, this employee was looking at his tablet saying "oh no" and "this isn't good" several times in front of us while ignoring any questions we had and everything we were saying, as if we weren't there. He simply didn't respond to us or look at us for about 30 seconds. Then he walked into the back room for 5 minutes and came out like nothing ever happened saying "what do you mean?" when we asked if he was ok. It was one of the most absurd sales interactions I have ever experienced. There is a good chance that something I'm unaware of was going on in this employee's life that impacted his mental state or ability to think clearly. I genuinely hope that he is doing well. With that said, I drove to this business looking for information on a big change that I wanted to make to my service plan. I do not believe that the person who "helped" me was able to effectively do his job. Because of this, I would expect to be transferred to a different sales rep, at bare minimum.I moved forward with the transaction in order to capitalize on the limited time iphone trade in offer, but I am not close to being confident that I will receive the correct phone in the mail or that my service will be updated correctly when that phone is delivered. My visit took 4x as long as it should have. I have lost trust in this location and will not be returning. I am a loyal Verizon customer and Encinitas local, but being forced to drive an extra 15 minutes to a different location just to avoid a similar interaction at this El Camino Real store has me questioning my loyalty. My advice: do not go here expecting patient, top-tier service or knowledgeable details about changes that you want to make to your new or existing plan.

Go to another Verizon store. Tomorrow will be my fourth trip to the store to setup two phones from a different carrier. I don't understand why this is difficult. The first employee failed to mention to unlock the phones and did not successfully set up either phone with service. This employee was playing on his phone instead of paying attention. He also did not select the correct phone for a trade-in. The trade-in was cancelled, but now I don't have a trade-in selected. The store has my trade-in, but since there is no record on my account I may be out $1,000. I hope this updates in the next 24 hours and at least the trade-in is there. I've wasted hours at this point and I'm back to the store to see if they have my trade-in tomorrow. I'm ready to go back to ATT.

After visiting a handful of other Verizon stores with abysmal service, finally came here. The "associate" (or whatever they call them, can't remember, they are salespeople) was perfectly friendly and helpful. He had the phone I was looking for and hadn't been able to find. After a quick discussion, he scrolled through a whole bunch of text on his tablet, explained quickly what they were, and asked for my signature. He then informed me my bill would go up by $4.80 per month, exactly as I'd priced out on their site. Perfect! Got the phone home, set it up, went to check my receipt, and he'd included a monthly phone insurance for nearly $20/month (which I didn't previously have, nor do any phones on my plan have). He didn't mention this to me once. Unsure how he was intending on my plan going up by under $5 dollars with 4x that in just insurance. Just another day of Verizon trying to get more of my money while providing progressively worse and worse service. (Verizon insurance is always a scam: over the three year contract the insurance would be 74% of the sale price of the phone. Imagine paying $30k in insurance over your car lease term!)

Super helpful staff. They helped me take care of a bad situation. Ended up with a new phone, better terms, and a lower bill after all said and done. I believe the gentleman who helped me was Alweed. Solid folks running this store.
