2100 N Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas“My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Alila Marea Encinitas Resort in August 2024, and it was an experience we won’t soon forget. The resort is an absolute gem, perfectly blending modern design with the natural beauty of the California coastline. The setting is breathtaking, with the hotel perched right next to a stunning beach that provided the perfect backdrop for the most incredible sunsets we’ve ever seen.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the immaculate condition of the hotel and its attention to detail. The management team, including Richard, Francisco, and Dennise, warmly welcomed us, making us feel like valued guests from the very start. The impeccable service truly set this resort apart—every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.
Our room was nothing short of beautiful, featuring an unbelievably gorgeous ocean view that we could have gazed at all day. The resort’s location is ideal, close to Carlsbad, Delmar and just a 20-30 minute drive from La Jolla, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. However, there’s so much to do right at the resort that you may not want to leave.
One of the highlights of our stay was dining at the on-site restaurant, Vaga. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there, and the entrées were delicious, featuring fresh ingredients and unique flavors that left us craving more.
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and they went out of their way to make him feel special with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the room. Also, if you are a Hyatt globalist, they will treat you extremely well here at Alila!
In summary, our stay at Alila Marea Encinitas Resort was absolutely perfect. The combination of stunning design, breathtaking views, impeccable service, and delicious dining made it a truly unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return to this world-class resort and create more wonderful memories.”
“This was a dream come true! Ever since I first visited the Flower Fields years ago, I knew I wanted to take my mom here because she loves flowers as much as I do! Well, today I finally had the chance to bring her! She came and visited me from out of state, and it is a brief trip but I KNEW I definitely had to take the opportunity to bring her to the Carlsbad Flower Fields, and it did NOT disappoint! As someone with a green thumb herself, she absolutely LOVED seeing new colors of flowers she hadn't encountered before, and loved being surrounded by all the beauty. We took pictures everywhere, enjoyed some ice cream, drank iced chai and raspberry green tea from the Cafe- it was a perfect day! It favorite part was riding the tractor-pulled wagon full circle around the fields twice! ? It was so enjoyable, I am SO happy I was able to get this dream come true to enjoy these moments with her!”

850 Palomar Airport Rd, Carlsbad“Brianna, Corina, Katey & Sammy were amazing! Me & my now, husband were so thankful for all of the amazing support provided by them and all the Wedgewood team. Since the beginning of our adventure in finding a venue, we knew it would be the perfect place! It was the first place we visited, and four venue hunts later, it was the one we chose! First of all, the team is so kind and helpful. Second, the bridal suite is amazing and so many other venues lacked this option. Also, the hotel being next to it is a plus as well as being able to get a group discount for our wedding party. There was a surplus of benefits found with Wedgewood and we did not regret our choice one bit. Then the day of our wedding, there were no errors. Everything went perfect!!! People were in awe of how organized everything was & how beautiful. My husband and I truly couldn't have pictured a better wedding venue & if I could do it all again I'd always choose Wedgewood! Also - their banquet team is great! Their vendors are amazing and the food is delicious!!”
“If I didn't have Downtown Works I'd still just be working at home or from coffee shops—this place is worth it! The staff are genuinely lovely and it keeps a nice, friendly vibe with coworkers, but you're also welcome to just do your thing. I have the 24-hour access and it makes my life easier knowing I can pop in whenever I want. The space is comfortable and classy, including a nice patio outside, there's snacks, coffee, and beer on tap, plus showers and ample parking.”
“Great group of people who love/care about Oside and love having a good time listening/dancing to quality musical acts. Summer group bike rides to the beach provide a lot of joy and happiness to everyone and allows you to make new friends.”

“My wife and I got married June 22nd 2023. We had our reception at the Vista Optimist Club. My experience was amazing. Shannon was so helpful and professional. The venue itself was immaculate. From the garden and gazebo to the grass lawn and outdoor lighting. We had the option to have an inside outside wedding but outside waa too beautiful to have it inside. The lay out is easy for your guests to get to and from there car. Having the parking lot close by made it easy for all my guests to arrive and leave without a problem. It's easy to find right off the freeway. I highly recommend this venue and the Venue Manager Shannon. Shannon thank you so much for everything. My wife and I had the greatest night of our lives.”

The food was amazing, we had the steak, lamb, and seabass for our entrees and every entree was cooked to perfection. I did not hear ANY complaints from our guests. Our late-night snacks were a hit, we had the mini cali burritos - it was a treat for our out of towners! We loved the vendors that Chelsi recommended, esp Fabcakes and Amy with our florals!”

6001 Clubhouse Dr, Rancho Santa Fe“Stepping Onto Phil Mickelson's Turf: A Review of Del Mar Country ClubNestled amidst the rolling hills of Del Mar, California, lies Del Mar Country Club, a golf paradise that wouldn't feel out of place in Phil Mickelson's trophy room. As one of the club's esteemed members, Lefty himself has graced these fairways countless times, leaving his legacy etched in every birdie and every epic sand save. But is Del Mar simply a playground for golf royalty, or does it hold charm for mere mortals like us? Let's tee off and find out.First Impressions: The moment you drive through the gates of Del Mar Country Club, you're transported to a world of manicured greens, shimmering ponds, and ocean vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see. The Spanish Colonial clubhouse, reminiscent of a hacienda estate, exudes an air of timeless elegance, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.Fairways Fit for a Champion: The 18-hole championship course, designed by the legendary William F. Bell, is a masterpiece of strategic design. Rolling hills, cunningly placed bunkers, and undulating greens challenge golfers of all skill levels, while breathtaking ocean views from every hole provide a constant source of inspiration (and, perhaps, a little intimidation).Beyond the Green: But Del Mar isn't just about chasing birdies. The club boasts a plethora of amenities to keep everyone entertained, including:Sparkling swimming pool and jacuzzi: Take a refreshing dip after a hot round or simply soak up the California sun.Tennis courts: Challenge your friends to a friendly match on the club's pristine clay courts.State-of-the-art fitness center: Stay in shape with the latest equipment and expert trainers.Fine dining: The club's restaurants offer delectable menus featuring fresh, local ingredients, with stunning views as the perfect accompaniment.Vibrant social scene: From member events to casual gatherings, Del Mar fosters a warm and welcoming community where you can connect with fellow golf enthusiasts. The Lefty Effect: Of course, being Phil Mickelson's home club adds a certain mystique to Del Mar. Walking the same fairways as one of golf's greatest legends gives your game a touch of magic, even if your swing is more reminiscent of a windmill than a graceful arc. You might not be sinking eagle putts like Lefty, but you'll still feel the thrill of playing on a course that's hosted some of the game's most iconic moments. The Verdict: Del Mar Country Club is more than just a golf course; it's an escape, a playground for the senses, and a chance to step into the world of golfing royalty. The immaculate course, world-class amenities, and captivating ocean views make it a true golfer's paradise. While the hefty membership fees might be a hurdle for some, the experience undoubtedly justifies the cost for those who can afford it. So, whether you're a seasoned golfer aiming to channel your inner Mickelson or simply seeking a luxurious escape, Del Mar Country Club is sure to deliver an unforgettable experience.Final Rating: 5 out of 5 stars”

“Today we celebrated our son’s 8th birthday at Skyzone Carlsbad. We had a great experience! Our host AJ took great care of us and the facility was clean. We were in the party room upstairs which was awesome - lots of space, 2 bathrooms upstairs, and good AC. We put up our own decorations but otherwise they provide everything you need (plates, napkins, cups etc). I appreciate that AJ took care of everything and it was stress-free thanks to him. This was our first party at skyzone but we will definitely be back! Thank you! ?”
“I started attending some of the Garden Club events this past couple of years and they are exceptionally well- organized, educational, a good variety of activities, and fun! The club facilitator really does a great job at switching things up. I especially love the annual holiday events. Garden Club grounds are lovely. I always go without expectations; I know that I'll learn something, I'll meet new people, and I go with an open-mindset and fun attitude! Great way to spend the day!”

5925 Lusk Blvd, San Diego“Overall 3 day weekend stay was good.Rooms: Overall very happy as the room seemed clean. I definitely check for cleanliness, stock, and appearance since I know about cleaning. Areas easily seen are floors (carpeted areas and hard floors) and entire rest room… check for hair, debris, soiled trash liners, beds, etc. When you train your staff better, you look better…basically everything is better!Nearby activities: Nearby: beaches, old San Diego, zoo and Sea World, coast -sight seeing, strolls -Balboa Park, shopping, and more…Food & drinks: Overall breakfast was good. Selection-good. No bacon on any of our days stayed. Sausages (pork and turkey) and egg could be cooked a little better. Drinks great. Hot cakes fresh out of the oven. Fruit good and bakery”
“I would say only that event parking should be updated on Google maps to reflect proper navigation when events are there. Google maps took me to the closed road with a barrier instead of the event.”

3525 Valley Centre Dr, San Diego“For long stays in the San Diego area, but away from the downtown and airport noises, this is my favorite. Close to groceries, and next door to a gas station that sells Pacifico at a reasonable price. Also, a taco bell if you don't want to cook. Clean and quiet.”
“So much fun with 8 and 10 year old granddaughters! Not cheap but we caught a weekday special that made it do-able. Bring socks to wear with shoe rentals! Clean, family friendly atmosphere. We went on a weekday right at opening and had our pick of lanes. Staff was available to explain how to get started with the keyboard on our lane. Neighboring group of bowlers helped us figure out the bumpers. Lots of bowling balls light enough for young bowlers and this senior. Convenient parking. We stayed after and had the BEST pizza and the girls had delicious hand made milk shakes! It will be a special occasion place because of the cost, but we will definitely be back!”
“Highly recommend it before going to any snowboard or ski resort! I never snowboard before taking the lessons, I did the 3 lesson package to help learn the basics and get me comfortable enough to hit big bear for the first time! Mark helped me get the scheduling set up.Mieu taught me all 3 lessons prior to heading up. I had so much fun and felt safe and in control, I was able to do all the beginner slope of snow summit, bear mountain and snow valley! Mieu set me up for success! Not only was I able to be comfortable on heel edge for hours, I got to progress and was able to try toe edge! I fell less than expected while snowboarding, but you know what they say, “if you ain’t falling, you ain’t trying”So glad with the lesson! Definitely worth it and made snowboarding fun and addicting!”
