If I could give this place a lower rating I absolutely would. My wife went in to return some Amazon items and the cashier was so Rude that he made her apologize for even being there. My wife left in tears and I’m now helping her calm down. HORRIBLE SERVICE and staff!!!!!

Make sure your box already has a label and is ready to go, they will not print a label for you

I have gone to this location for a few years to ship packages, etc. I have always found the owner to be incredibly kind and helpful. I have always had a very good experience.

BUYER BEWARE of these SHYSTERS. My girlfriend is in town from Colombia ?? and was sending a letter to her mom. As this was her first time in the states, she’s not aware of the difference between the US Postal Office and a for profit franchise like Postal Annex.Turns out she mistakenly went to this location (Google) and asked about sending the letter via the US Postal Service and wanted to buy the US Postal Service’s International Stamp for $1.30.The female employee told her there was 4 different ways to sent the letter to Colombia and the least expensive was $64.65. She was shocked to hear this and again said; “but I saw online and called the Post Office and they assured me that it was only $1.30 to mail it via an International Stamp.Instead of the employee being honest and just informing her that the US Post Office is right down the street and you’re at a Postal Annex and not a US Government Post Office, the deceitful and dishonest employee told her they do the same thing as the Post Office (LIE) but it needed to be sent Priority Mail and it would get there in two weeks. She trusted the dishonest sales person and reluctantly paid as she believed the employee. After she came home and we reviewed the receipt and saw she went to a Postal Annex and not the Post Office, we then went to the US Post Office and told them what happened and they confirmed she got taken advantage of because of her accent and mistakenly believing the lady at Postal Annex was working in her best interest. So lesson learned, the best way to send a letter to South America is by going directly to the Post Office and spending $1.30 and AVOID Postal Annex at all cost as they are unethical and will definitely rip you off if given the chance.

We have rented a mailbox here for over a year. The owner is very polite and we have no issues with lost mail (unlike a Postal Annex we rented from in Northern California).

Recommended for international shipping!!! I was wanting to compare shipping options to send a package to Australia. Andrew was very helpful on the phone. I wanted to include an extra small item if it didn't cost more, so he helped me weight it a few times in different boxes with some of the original padding removed. Finally he printed a USPS label and I added more clear tape and put it in the USPS box to be picked up. No wait when I arrived and much better experience than the post office!

Love this location! I ended up here on an off chance because the Postal Annex closer to my house (the one off La Costa Ave) was closed for no apparent reason. I was so happy that this location was open and that they could assist with my return parcel. This was my first time ever having to ship internationally and I was a little nervous about doing all the customs paperwork correctly, but thank goodness I met Andrew who saved the day! He made it a super easy, quick, and non-intimidating process and I am so grateful for his help. I also liked how seriously they are taking Covid precautions. I felt extremely safe and I admired their setup for social distancing plus respect for proper facial coverings. Great job guys! This location is definitely worth making the extra five minute drive for me and I'll be sending my friends your way!

Although I reside in Carlsbad, I was down in Encinitas and needed to get a document notarized as well as scanned and emailed back to me as an attachment. The gentleman did that for one, but failed with the second and most important one. After requesting that he correctly send the doc as an attachment, he replied with a snarky comment and still failed to send it as an attachment. With no attachment I wasn't able to save it in my G Drive, and therefore wasn't able to send it off in an email. If you pay for a service you should get what you pay for. As such they've lost me as a customer.

This is probably my 2nd review of a business in all the years I've been on Yelp. I'm pretty sure I encountered the same person the reviewer Daniela did. Today was my 2nd time in & I was just dropping off a package that was already packed & had postage, etc. Nothing to be done but I did ask if he had a strip of tape to spare just to safe since the sticky strip wasn't that wide. He gruffed a little at my request & then unenthusiastically looked at my package and said "You really should take this to the Post Office." He then said "There's no accountability here". I'm thinking-Isn't this what you do? I had no problem dropping off the exact type of package with postage going to the exact address at another PA 3 weeks ago? Anyway, I just took my package and decided to go and as I left he said "you're welcome for the free tape." WOW. This guy.. This was the second time I've been in just because I was in the neighborhood & he acted like he was doing me a favor by his mere presence last time, too. It was a phone return to insurance co. that did have tracking info that didn't show it left for a couple days. Yikes. I know these are franchise and I don't know if he's the owner but I love the one down in Pt Loma but I'll never come here again.

Andrew is by the far one of the nicest men I've ever met. He is so friendly, remembers you, details you've discussed is the past, makes you feel a sense of community. As a 29 year woman, born & raised here, it's refreshing that customer service like that still exists. Something I had only heard of from my grandparents stories. Takes you back to the mom & pop shops time in Encinitas where everyone knew everyone, and you had a "local spot" that you were loyal to for each area of your life. To give you even more of an insight, I moved further away from this location and still come here to ship things, not for convenience but for the customer service.
