Very quaint motel! Our particular family-style suite had a partial view of the ocean, and was conveniently located near lots of spots where we could walk to for breakfast or lunch! Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!
Rooms: We booked a family suite that had one bedroom with a queen bed and full kitchenette and bathroom, and an adjoining door that led to a second bedroom that had two full beds! Perfect for me and my two boys in their 20s!
Walkability: There were several cute breakfast and lunch spots that were easily walkable from the motel. I will definitely stay there again!

Great family room, had 3 beds with 2 rooms, each room had a TV. One full size bathroom with lots of towels. There was a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher and utensils available. You could borrow beach stuff like toys, boogie boards, umbrellas. The walk to the beach took less than 5 minutes.

Amazing experience staying two nights at the moonlight beach motel. We enjoyed the spacious rooms, huge king bed, and breathtaking views. “The Lofty” coffee shop nearby has great gluten free breakfast options, Modern Times brewery down the street was a Hazy IPA-lover’s dream, and the pizza place kiddy corner was a fantastic dinner in of itself. Super walkable neighborhood, with the beach footsteps away. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I spent every Friday night at a bonfire on Moonlight Beach during my childhood. My mother recently passed and I said my goodbyes to her overlooking the beach. It truly is and was our families little slice of heaven!

Fabulous location. Perfect for our family!
Rooms: There's not much sitting room, but there's three beds. This is amazing for a family of five.
Nearby activities: Beach and the main Street with all of the shopping and restaurants
Walkability: It's even an easy walk to the beach for our 4-year-old.

Gorgeous location, excellent customer service, beautiful rooms. Clean, attentive, helpful staff. Can't rave about this place enough. Get up, see the ocean, walk to the beach, it's not even 1 block and a half away. Ice cream around the corner, best pizza place across the street. Can't stay in a better place if you visit SD and aren't a millionaire. Motel provides beach toys and beach chairs and umbrellas. Great place to stay with kids.Rooms: Clean. Not luxurious but very clean, modern, fridge, microwave, all the toilet you can use. Shampoo and body soap in the bathroom, the mattresses could use some pillow top but otherwise it's a great place to stay with kids. They provide beach toys and chairs and umbrellas.Nearby activities: Beach within walking distance. What could be betterWalkability: You don't need to leave Encinitas when you stay here.Food & drinks: California Cream and Gelato 101 withing walking distance. Both are amazing. Best pizza in town across the street
