Another awesome experience at Leucadia Cyclery! I took my hybrid in for a much needed tune up and my bike looks and rides like new! Plus Jeff, the new owner, talked me through how to choose safety and comfort features that I was considering. The team also graciously installed a flashing back light, so useful for riding post-sunset in these early winter nights.

Terrible service, not helpful at all.I always try to shop local with ski, bike, surf, skate shops so I decided to come here for a beach cruiser tube and chain - the employees were rude and were acting childish trying to argue with me that he sold me the correct item when they didn’t, and it was a beach cruiser tube size that wasn’t the correct item. Could have easily been switched for the correct item but instead he wanted to argue with me.

Great selection of products, knowledgeable and friendly staff and a killer location, with coffee and burgers next door. Perfect place to start or end a ride.Edit: original five star review was for Velotown/Cadence, totally separate business.

Had a run-of-the-mill flat tire, but a fantastic experience of this place. I called ahead to see if they had what I needed and I showed up about 10 minutes later. Guy working, from South Africa was super cool, and did everything lickety-split. I had to drive quite a ways to get to this place, but I honestly will go to no other bike shop now. 10 stars

Great experience. Bryan diagnosed my bikes “clicking” issue quickly and had it back on the road in two days.

Maybe it’s a plus to be a dude here.. owner is okay but I got a flat as soon as I rode it, a flat.. I think too much air was in bike tire.. anyway found a shop near San elijo and replace tube.. that was a super star store.. 300. Is a lot to pay and can’t believe Leucadia cs didn’t say come on in and we’ll fix u up.. ps didn’t clean bike..bike is a crossover ..

I have had my bike serviced here several times in the past. Bryan has always provided good service. Today, I took my bike in. Bryan was not there. There was a man in the work area behind the counter rummaging around looking for something or other. I stood patiently at the counter for a good five minutes waiting. The man completely ignored me and continued to rummage. Finally, I said, "hello how are you?" My cloak of invisibility included an inability to be heard as well. "That good, huh?" Nothing. So I left. I hope this guy is a great bike mechanic because he seriously needs a remedial course in Customer service.

Tune up--$90 New hand grips --$5 New break pads --$10 Installation of break pads--$15 Installation of hand grips--$15 Total cost--$135 Actual resale price of bike--$100 Not being informed that they're charging $15 per item as an "Installation fee"--priceless I lost money by coming to this shop. They didn't show me the itemized receipt until after they charged my card. When I asked why the tune up didnt include "installation" they said that is how they do it and they charge $15 per accessory no matter the cost of accessory or ease of installation. In my opinion, they took advantage of my lack of knowledge about bikes and charged for unnecessary things. In summary, I would stick to El Camino Bike Shop. Unless you're a fan of hidden charges and being taken advantage of.

I have lived in Leucadia my whole life and am the 6th gen of my family in the north county sd. I have driven past this shop thousands of times and always liked the buildings paint and mural. Last year I went in for my first time to get tubes for a beach cruiser and a old ride bike. It was a few minutes before I was helped which didn't bother me much, but I felt very unvalued by the owner and employee when they decided to carry on the conversation that they where having while helping me. Because of this I got very little information on my products and the simple transaction took around 10 minutes. I figured it was fine and they must have been very intrigued by a race and I probably would have done the same. That was until I went in yesterday to get tubes and tires for a vintage bike I had just bought. I was the only other person in the store than the clerk and he barely looked at me until I was at the counter. He gave off a very entitled and proud attitude. The clerk seemed like he would have been much more happy if I wasn't in there. Sooo.... I'm not going back. Plenty of other shops around and I have been much mor welcomed by them. I really wanted to believe this shop would be cool to get parts from but I guess they couldn't keep it funky.

Fantastic neighborhood shop with incredible service and attention and surprisingly a lot of inventory as well. Fixed my sons e-bike in 1 day. If you're looking to rent bikes, they have a great selection as well as regular and e bikes. Don't miss this little neighborhood shop it's truly a gem!

Adam (service manager) is awesome. I've been in a few times and he's always ready to dispense information and help you get setup with what you need me. The rest of the staff is super friendly and helpful as well.

I've found my new bike shopAdam (the mechanic) is the man. My bike had an issue with the front derailleur that another bike shop struggled with and couldn't sort out. I was advised by Factor to take the bike to VeloTown and if they couldn't sort it then it really was belting repair. Adam diagnosed the issue and sorted it out in double quick time. I'm so thankful

This place must have new owners. The last two times I have given them a try, I felt like Walmart employees would have been just as helpful. I know they are not an MTB shop, but most people selling shoes a JC Pennies have heard of a Maxxis DHR.
