My 12 year old Toyota Sequoia started blowing hot air. I had it tested locally in Del Mar and they said their was a leak in the front core evaporator and evidence of a possible leak in the rear one. They said they didn’t want to fix it Because it was too big of a job. I called toyota service and they wanted 3 k ish to replace it.I called a few shops and harris said they would test it first and if it was the Evap would beat the price substantially.I left my car there and they sniffed it and said there not only was no leak/ but whoever tested it bled all the coolant out. They could have easily just replaced it and no one would have known the difference. There are still honest and ethical people on this planet and now they have a life long customer. Won’t be asking about the price in the future with them. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

So my car started overheating at the Shell by the Wendy's right down the road last weekend. Weird that it happened right after I got out of the car wash, but I ended up towing it down the street to Harris (which is also partnered with the shop next door, Brad's?). Lori was super friendly and told me she'd put someone on it first just so I wouldn't have to go home and come back if it wasn't as bad as she expected. Turns out nothing was wrong... probably the car wash attendant shot water under the radiator and it was steaming for several minutes while it burned off. Who knows. Well, she didn't even charge me the $60 bucks for looking at it. I was out of there in less than an hour. What else is there to say, these people are trustworthy, friendly and not in it to squeeze you for the extra bucks. Great service! Thanks!

Very fast and courteous service. I took my Jeep for some AC maintenance. They called me within an hour to let me know what was wrong with it and what my options were. Highly recommended to anyone who needs AC services in the North County area.

I'm embarrassed to admit my aweful/negative experience with Harris Radiator occurred back in 2014. I found it difficult to say bad things and didn't want to cause any harm believing that bad Karma will result in a rating they deserve. However, while looking today for an A/C shop to do work on my other car I was appalled to see Harris Radiator with a 5 Star rating. Yes, I'm partly blame for their undeserving 5 Star rating because I failed to report my experience in a timely manner. Better late than never... I took my Acura MDX in for an A/C repair. Paid almost $500 for evaluation and $700 for repair (involved new compressor installed). After job completed I had to return two times trying to get the job done right but to no avail. Both times they said they couldn't find anything wrong but still the A/C wasn't working right. Out of desperation I went to another shop for a second opinion and they found the source of the problem in just 10 minutes. Returned to Harris with the 2nd opinion shop work order/invoice & finding. Instead of Harris apologizing for wasting my time and wanting to make things right they "stonewalled me" and did nothing. 2nd opinion shop made repair. I was forced to file a complaint with BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair). BAR investigated claim and found Harris in the wrong and ordered them to issue me a full refund. Still no conversation with the owner. When my refund check finally arrived it was enclosed was a hand written note and a one sentence apology. Pretty negligent I would say for all the grief they put me through. Do yourself a huge favor and steer clear from this business. The way they mishandled/bungled job and wasted my time they deserve nothing higher than a 2 star rating ... in keeping with their work and "lack of" responsibility and customer service.

These guys are the best!! Along with Brad's Foreign Auto, no one else touches our cars. Matt and Roger and Lucas and Will take care of it all. And they are reasonable. And they DO back their work!!!

I bumped into a concrete pillar which sratched up my bumper and damaged my headlight. The body shop I took my car to didn't feel comfortable replacing the headlight and recommended Harris Radiator. The guys there were very friendly and accommodating. They did a nice job. I will go back if I ever need work done to one of my cars. They are full service even though the name might imply they just do radiators and AC.

I'm new to this area and own a 2013 Subaru, which was being serviced by a private auto repair shop who's owner also owns a Subaru dealership in Calif. I took my vehicle into Harris for a oil and filter change, only to find out that the air filter was plugged solid with dirt and had never been changed, although charged, by the other shop. Harris checked out my car after pulling all of the inspection and maintenance schedules from the internet; followed up with me and is the new home for my Subaru Crosstrek! Thanks to all of their great, professional and attentive personnel. Steve Brooks

This shop was recently sold.Don't waste your time going here. Poor quality repairs that don't last and they don't stand behind their work.
