Great clips are truly living their name of Great. The staff is skilled and their app placing nice queue wait helps minimize wait. The haircuts are as you ask for and they give nice suggestions.

Always get my haircut here and have great experiences but customer experience today was horrendous Dezerah was rude, horrible communication and didn’t even cut the back of my hair. I never leave a review anywhere but I felt a need to warn the rest.

Such a terrible experience. I am still sitting in my car crying...
I had very long hair. I wanted 4-5 inch off to trim ends and clean it up. They took double that by sawing a straight line across my shoulders. My hair used to hit mid back. I could reach my hand around my back and touch the ends. Now it barely reaches my shoulders and I can hardly pull into a pony tail.
Not only did they cut off all of my hair which is very emotional, the cut itself is uneven and jagged. It is longer in the front. I think they did that to try to cover for the fact they took way too much off, but it is not at all what I asked for. I just wanted a straight trim.
They kept saying at least it will grow back which is no consolation when it takes years to grow out. And that is no excuse to be careless with someone else's hair cut.
I don't feel confident going out in public with my hair the way it is. I am devastated and should never have trusted them.

Jules is the most gentle and caring hair stylist, she pays attention to what you say you would like and is so precise. I appreciate her patience and skills for my awesome haircut, and her punk rock personality for keeping me entertained during it as well. Thank you a million Jules!

Wait time was less than 20 minutes (which is rare for Encinitas).
New stylist really listened to what I wanted and needed. My haircut is great and with a coupon even better!

Jules at Great Clips is an exceptional hair stylist! Her precision in haircuts is unmatched. Even though my hair is unevenly wavy and hard to cut, her haircuts make it easy for me to style afterwards. She offers great product suggestions tailored to my needs. It’s obvious that she truly cares about her clients. Highly recommend her!

Had a really terrible experience. Took my teen to get a haircut. He asked for a little off the front and more off the back. She did the opposite and gave him a bowl haircut. Gave feedback and she got defensive. My teen just wanted to get the heck out of there and was embarrassed. Not a good at this location at all.

I love working at this salon. My name is Heather and i am the current manager. I have worked here for about 7 years. We have struggled so much during the pandemic and are finally seeing some staffing recovery. The employees work so very hard for our customers. We have the best clientele and have developed relationships with them and seeing their children grow they are like family. Thank you all for being strong with us throughout the last few years. Wait times are decreasing. The vibe here is amazing. If there is ever a situation that is not great please reach out to me. I would love to make it right.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. I took my son to get a haircut, as I had done before. The person who cut my son's hair didn't even wet it and when she finished the result was horrible. I said it wasn't good and she didn't even have professional manners, completely rude. Her name is Kelly. So I asked someone else to fix it. The professional called Angelica did an excellent job and gave me a discount for this total displeasure.

Friendly service, great cut, but lacking important, informational, retrieval ability! I've been a regular at Great Clips for a while now, and overall, I'd give this place four stars. However, my recent visit left me a bit surprised. Despite having been there countless times, they couldn't pull up any of my prior haircut history notes. It was a hiccup since I couldn't recall the specific guard/length of trimmers/shears used on me. Nevertheless, the girl who cut my hair was incredibly friendly and professional. She did an excellent job, leaving me satisfied with the outcome. Despite the history retrieval issue, I'd still recommend it for a good cut and pleasant service.
