I took my car here for a headgasket repair he charged me but didn't fix it I returned it to him and he had my car for almost 2 and a half months for a month and a half of it he didn't even work on it it sat in the parking lot. I would come after that and it'd be parked in the alleyway and couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. He told me yesterday that he couldn't work on it anymore and he doesn't know what is wrong with it. I started it and it runs worse then it did before. I'm pretty sure no one there has a certification on be working on cars. Gary is a scam artist. And he wouldnt update me and never called me once. Do not trust Gary. Scam artist

I found out about aloha Auto from a local AutoZone. Gary, the owner of aloha Auto is a very skilled mechanic and an easy guy to talk to.
My first experience was just for an alternator. Recently, I was in need of a whole new steering apparatus for my Honda Odyssey, including rack and pinion pumps hoses tie rods engine mounts etc.
Gary tackled it all for me in one day. Expert work.
Now when I turn my Honda Odyssey it feels like butter instead of trying to turn a boulder.
Thank you Gary if there was more than five stars I'd give them to you?

This place tried to take advantage of my 75 year old mother who knows nothing about cars.
Her engine was misfiring and Gary told her the engine had no compression and needed to be replaced for over $5000. I told her to get a second opinion, the second place replaced the spark plugs and coil packs for a bit over $500 and the problem was fixed. I gave Gary some time before writing this for the benefit of a doubt in case the problem returned. It did not. It has been months now and the car has run fine since going to the other shop.
Lying to elderly people is despicable, she must have looked like an easy target.

Came here to Gary after a different shop was ripping me off by trying to add as many charges as possible and keeping my car multiple days after a supposedly failed smog check. Gary quickly solved it, then even brought it next door for me to get re-smog checked, it passed, and he called me within 2 hours after dropping it off that it's ready to pickup. And he didn't even charge me a dime. Wow, thank you.

Came here after reading the reviews and am happy I did. Excellent service, Gary has been a life saver! Am very attached to my old car ('09 Forester) that took me from Alaska to Toronto, back west to the PNW and finally to San Diego, and he gave it life one more time. THANK YOU!! Stayed under the quoted price, accepted the car Saturday and had it back Monday morning - amazing. Recommend 100%.

Gary is the best! Said it years ago and I'll say it again, he is the only mechanic that I speak to and trust with my cars. I have been going to him since I lived on 3rd street years ago. My most recent visit was because I had my catalytic converter stolen. Gary was quick to diagnose what happened over the phone. He's helped me with the time it took me to pay for that insane expense...and for that I'm forever thankful. I always return and will always recommend friends :) truly appreciate.

Gary was so helpful and fixed my car up according to the recommendations I got from the Subaru dealership when I took it in for a recall. He saved me so much time and money! He was also very informative and trustworthy. I will definitely take my car in to Aloha again!

Our car broke down we were desperate, someone recommended this place, what a blessing!! They were able to take our car ,did their best to fix it but couldn't finish it on time ,they wanted to fix it well. Next day it was ready and we were on our way home.I wish it was closer to LA we would definitely take our cars to them!! Very trustworthy, would definitely recommend!!
