I wanted to give a shout-out for the excellent urgent care I received today. I was seen by Heather Moore after about a 20 minute wait. I believe she is a Nurse Practitioner. Alosina took my vitals and I felt totally heard by everyone that worked with me including the people at the desk Brendan and Christina. I had X-rays taken at the imaging center next door and they were read immediately by Heather Moore. It was all a very efficient and pleasant experience for something I was dreading and needed to take care of.

I was in pain from pulling a back muscle Thanksgiving Eve. I had to wait for over 1.5 hrs, but I didn’t mind terribly, as it was a busy time, the clinic was closed the next day, and I needed relief. I’m so glad I stayed. Everyone there was extremely kind, and one girl was actually a former student of mine. The NP (I believe Heather Moore) was was worth the wait. She was adorable and had me laughing within the first few minutes. She was thorough, empathetic, so helpful and made sure I was more comfortable leaving with the medication I needed. Thank you everyone!!DEC; PA-C retired.

scheduled an appointment and was not helped for an hour and was told I was next in a couple of minutes. Later they realized I was not and said it will be another hour. Very unprofessional and a big waste of time. Second time here and both visits have been terrible. Not wearing masks at front desk and rude staff.

the entire staff seemed like they had never even been trained in the medical field. i walked in, they looked at me, finished their gossip conversation then asked what i needed. took about 20 minutes writing my insurance information down and then called me later saying i needed to pay and my insurance wouldn't work. waited for an hour and a half just for the untrained pa to send me to get an x-ray. after the x-ray results came back with no issues she called me saying i needed to schedule another appointment for "further evaluation". save your time and money and never go here. these people try to scam you and will do anything they can to make you pay them more.

Um... yikes. Watied for over an hour past my appointment time and then saw a nurse practictioner- not a doctor. (Although I will say she was very nice and professional.) Was left in a super-cold exam room for 30 minutes and asked for a blanket. Never came. Was eventually referred to a local imaging facility (not the one immediately next door) and it was oddly unprofessional and unorganized when I tried to schedule. I checked on their revews when I got home and am now trying to switch my imaging appointment to the more reputable facility I usually go to. This whole thing was just...."off." Really can not recommend and will not return.

I have never given a bad review but feel compelled to warn people. We came here thinking it was part of Scripps and out of pure desperation. It is NOT part of Scripps even though it certainly looks like it since Scripps is next door and connected. Waited over 2.5 hrs + another hour in the room only to be seen by a nurse - not a doctor. She immediately wanted to prescribe an aggressive medication without making sure it was the proper diagnosis. Horrible and will never come here again. Please find a diff urgent care facility and do not waste your time or money.

Very pleasant experience here. Not sure why so many negative reviews. Came here one day with a family member for a health issue and only waited 45min to be seen. Not too bad. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. We saw a nurse practitioner instead of a doctor and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. Did a thorough exam and provided medications for the patient. The waiting room is a bit small and could use a deep cleaning. Otherwise a good experience.

Their office staff is rude. Going to urgent care is already an 'urgent' situation so to be told immediately after walking into the open door that the office was closed, they closed at 5 (it was 5:15) and they were closed and they don't know who would have sent us there and, again, they were closed. We were only looking for directions to a different urgent care. This is my family's second experience with this office and found the reception disrespectful and rude.

I had my first appointment and had to leave after waiting an hour. I did not see a Dr. Went back the next day at 9:AM and wated an hour before I saw a Dr. It took back and forth phone calls to Imaging and Access Medical over 4 days and approximately 2 and a half hours of waiting on my part to get the correct information over to Imaging so I could get an appointment with them. Today I am at Access Medical again to get the results and have been waiting for 1hour and 45 minutes and still have not seen a Dr. When I'm done writing this I'm going to get up and leave.

I was in to rule out an ankle fracture. The provider(PA?) said he doubted it was broken. Told me to take Ibuprofen, sent me to Xray, said I didn't need to wait for the results. I called when I got home to get the results, and indeed I had a spiral fibular fracture. This was a Friday at closing time, no boot, no pain meds. Told me to see an Ortho as soon as possible. Negligence, in my humble opinion.

This is the worst. Totally substandard care. I literally sat in the waiting room for two hours then another three in the patients room. The staff are all rude and unhelpful. They need to be shut down. They lied to me and said a doctor would see me. Some clueless nurse kept coming in and going out. She had zero experience with patient care and lied about referring me to someone who was competent. I have over thirty years in health care, so this was quite disturbing to me. Stay Away. There are so many better providers in Encinitas. Don't waste your time with these evil scum buckets.

I needed stitches after a surfing accident. Lifeguards recommended ER or at least urgent care for stitches. I went to Access and was seen within an hour. The NP cleaned my wound and stitched me up under the supervision of the doctor (it was her first time for a new type of stitching, but the doc was a good teacher). She did great. My PPO insurance treated my initial visit and followup visits as one co-pay. I can’t imagine the billing I would have gotten from an ER.
