Charges extra per gal AND a one time fee for credit cards. Outside card reader isn't working so you have to go inside and deal with broken readers and an overwhelming stench of feces.

Don't panic if you see a large amount pending on your debit card when getting gas. It drops off in about 10 minutes to the actual amount.

I do not go there, I've been in Empire 17 yrs. The owners wife is so rude. Dipty. I think her name is. You put 8 quarters down. And, she's like, wait. I have to count. I said. Hum? That's 2.00, she likes to mess with people. They are lucky. They are on a highway. Customer service is very important...and, she's also rude to her employees!

Mom and Pop type convenience store. Owner and staff are very nice. They also sell gas and diesel...cheap!! On average about 40¢ less per gallon. Three weeks ago, I paid $4.63 per gallon. Last week it was $4.85. Gas is over $5 anywhere else in the Modesto/Turlock area. 2 blocks east, off of Sante Fe, on Yosemite Boulevard.Major savings if you're filling up and not that far out of the way.
