Although this isn't a "top notch" place how could you not love it?? It's a family owned business that's makes delicious sandwiches! I always try to support small business and this has slowly become one of my favorite places in the Bay Area. Their sandwich list is huge so there's a sandwich for every person. They even have salads and a full coffee menu. They have a large selection of drinks and chips. They are consistent and cater to the businesses in the area. The owners are very nice and welcoming. I am going to miss working in this area ONLY because of The Big Cheese and their friendly faces! Thank you big cheese for feeding me on my lunches. I'll be sure to stop by if I'm ever in the area. (I'm the lady who ordered the top secret no mustard / tomatoes a** pesto! )

In this area there are not a lot of choices unless you want to drive further out, so it was nice to stumble upon this place that services surrounding warehouses. You will not get anything fancy here but there are good sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches are so so. They are always very nice and pretty quick at making group orders.

This is not a store front. Drove 25 minutes to find our it is an office. No reason to have it listed as in store shopping on Google.

My go to spot! I work in the area and before I started keto these were my GO TO breakfast sandwiches SOOOO delicious! Best cheese, egg, and bacon bagel I've ever had! Now that I've had to limit some of my food options I've tried their Caesar salad and let me just say DELICIOUS, so generous on the croutons, chicken, and cheese portions! Have been going here since I started working in the area and will continuing coming

Came here because of the highly rated reviews. The place was very clean and the owners very friendly and fast. There is a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, paninis. I ordered the veggie on sliced sourdough and it came out very fast. The flavor was very good for a sandwich (not a huge sandwich person). The avocado was sparse (for a veggie sandwich) and for a $9 sandwich, it didn't even come with a pickle.

The Big Cheese is the name of a deli in a 'dro warehouse district. owners moved here from Uptown a year+. offerings: salads, hot/cold sandwiches, soups, coffee, pannini eats: "Italian Hero" gourmet cold sandwich on rye (9.85) with everything -lotsa meat: ham, salami, mortadella, prosciutto, no cheese. flavoring was off for an Italian sandwich. too salty, touch too much mayo, didn't taste mustard, cheese, italian dressing. -bread a little hard, maybe they toasted it.. 3.5 stars quantity yes, quality no. *would customize order if ordering again. crumbs: -service was pretty good -parking maybe just in front or some in back, -just take out, no dine-in or outside dining.

Needed breakfast near the Oakland airport. The people were friendly and the food was delicious. The home-made potato leek soup was fresh and flavorful. Portions were generous.

Well, I tried The Big Cheese today and I'm definitely not a fan! It didn't taste too bad but for the price they could've added more turkey on my sandwich! Not going to waste my money when I can go to Little Europe and get a lot more for less $$$$.

Omg I ordered the COLD Italian supreme sandwich. It is the first sandwich listed under the COLD sandwiches. When I received the sandwich the packaging was warm, so I opened the sandwich before I left and discovered it was HOT. I told the Chinese man that took my order I ordered a cold sandwich and he stated it is a cold sandwich just the bread is warm. When I got in my car and bit into the sandwich the entire sandwich was basically a panini-HOT. I was so disappointed because it was not what I ordered and did not taste great. Had to get back to work so I did not take it back.

I have been eating here through three owners. The new owners seem like they are really trying, but since they have taken over the portion sizes have gotten smaller and they have stopped using recyclable card stock for salads and are now using plastic with no recycling indicator.... Then again, I ordered a cobb salad (no egg) and when i got back to work i found I had a regular green salad.
