Pacific Flooring Supply is possibly the ONLY business in the California Bay Area that not only sells 3/4" x 3 1/4" kiln dried vertical grain tongue and groove Douglas Fir wood flooring, but they have it IN STOCK! We have a 1918 Bernard Maybeck home we bought in 2003 that still had most of the original 3 1/4" Douglas Fir wood floors, except for the front entrance and back entrance the previous owners threw down plywood and carpet. We pulled that up and used the new boards from Pacific Flooring Supply and they were a perfect match (almost TOO nice). Now here we are in 2024 and we are remodeling a small downstairs bathroom near the back entrance and pulling out the plywood and linoleum flooring in the bathroom and half of the flooring we replaced at the rear entrance (rear entrance boards will flow in to the bathroom) and replacing it with new 3 1/4" DF wood flooring and Pacific Flooring Supply again is the ONLY place I could find locally that has this wood in stock. I did find a guy in Oregon that makes his own 3 1/4" wood from old growth trees but his price was only 25 cents a square foot less and he charges for delivery.

Pacific Flooring has been a major go-to outlet for East Bay floor professionals since the 50s, and maybe before. They also sell to the public, which not every wholesaler will do.I've known Brian and Joe for nearly 40 years, and they've always been helpful. Running my business can be hard, and they worked with me when things were chaotic and needed quick actions. Highly recommended!

I have been purchasing most of my flooring supplies at Pacific Flooring in Emeryville over the past few decades. Joe, Brian and Larry, being experts in their field, are happy to take the time to share their knowledge and to answer any questions I may have. I have had many face-to-face conversations with them about techniques and tools without some sort of apparatus like a computer or a window between us. They stock a large variety of top-quality wood and top tier tools, sealers and finishes. When I walk out, I always know that I've got just the right tool or supply necessary to get the job done right!
