This Home Depot is in the Emeryville shopping area, with a huge parking lot and is within walking distance of a Target, Nordstrom Rack, Office Depot and Michael's.I've gone there to get paint matched, and a variety of other household items and they've always had them.Lately I've been ordering online for pickup and they've usually been pretty responsive to get the pickup orders ready.

I hate leaving reviews, but I just had to today. The customer service and the help finding what I needed in the store was great. And I definitely can’t blame the agent who said they had updated their machines to accept Apple Pay, simple mistake. However, when I got to the line by the self checkout, I see a sign that says no Apple Pay. I cringe, as I am a health care traveler who has banked with a small credit union for yrs and due to my card getting compromised several times, they ask me to use Apple Pay for protection, as they have certain stores that they block due to several cases of compromised cards. No big deal. So I ask on of the guys, standing around the register if he can scan the 4items I have to get a total price so I can get cash from the Target across the street. I apologize to him for asking, explain my situation, I thank him and he snatches the items walks away to a register. He is visibly frustrated, doesn’t say anything, but just slams the items around. I tell him if it is too much trouble to just forget it an I can go some where else. He snatches the items away from the register and walks away. Now, I have to drive around to find another place who has the items I need because I don’t want to go back to this Home Depot.Other than that one guy, the service was great, people friendly, but even though this place is next to my place, I won’t go back. ?

They have a fantastic cat! Any Home Depot with a cat gets five stars, right? Also, the person whose help I had to interrupt to find the Allen wrenches was very polite and helpful, despite my interruption.

Inconvenient self check out only (even for lumber, really?), misses on many common items, and broadly unhelpful staff

Home Depots are hit and miss from store to store. This one was a miss. I dont usually need to ask for help, but when buying a tool, you need help to unlock the cabinet that is....when the service did arrive, there were a few people ahead of me (no big deal) waiting for help as well. There lies the problem, when they get the tool for the customer they have to walk it up to the front cash register before they come back and help the next. Ok, i get it. I just hope they dont get sidetracked by other customers before heading back to the tool section. Not their fault its Home Depots' fault. It wasn't a bad experience, really just frustrating at times. That's it, that's my gripe. I just need to learn patience and understand that they are doing their best...

Ordered some blinds online , home depot came and measured and they were installed. Few weeks later during kitchen renovations we realized one of the blinds doesn’t fit. Came in store explained situation they looked up the order a manager approved changing that blind with a fee, the associate supposedly made some notes and was told to come back in when tiles are installed so they can remeasure. Came back today to inform that they can come and remeasure. Associate says she has to get another manager’s approval, new manager comes and says this was an online order and I have to work with online to resolve the issue! What a waste of time and contradictory information.

Wow. No words to describe the customer nightmare that is Home Depot. Let's look at a few of my experiences:-Delivery driver crashed into my neighbors car, apologized, then drove off. I ended up covering the damage.-Watched a guard assault a customer who walked in the wrong door to try to help his workers who were at the register. Shoved the customer backwards. No one working for Home Depot intervened.-Credit card added to an account without authorization. Got an email asking me to contact Home Depot if I did not authorize this. Phone number was a useless menu tree of disfunction. That left text, the only remaining option, which would have literally taken hours.-Watched a woman inhale solvent in the Home Depot parking lot. I pointed out to the manager that this aerosol solvent was lined up right at the door for the store, and this invited theft of a dangerous product. He said he wasn't aware of the problem, but said that now that he was he would change the placement. A week later, everything was the same. This isn't a store. It's a toxic waste dump.
