I've been bringing my dog here for 3 years and it's been a great experience. The vets have always explained what's going on with my dog in a straight forward way and follow up after appointments with more information if needed. I get regular text updates for when my dog is due for shots or medication, and it syncs to their website's store where I can order it.

This place is the worst. I will never go back here ever again. They tried to charge me $800 to neuter my cat which is EXTREMELY overpriced. Not to mention everything else is way overpriced. There’s cheaper vets out there people, this place just tries to upcharge you on everything. They couldn’t even draw blood on my 4lb kitten without having me pay for drugs. Like, if you can’t draw blood on a 4 lb animal without having it sedated, why are you even in the vet business. They’re money grabbers….save it for your gas tank.

I've brought many cats here over the years & we always receive great care. All the staff I've interacted with is friendly & informative. The doctors have taken great care of my pets and been really good about explaining treatments & options.

Charged my Credit Card for medication without my consent. ?Overall incredibly expensive and over the past year and a half I just don't feel that they care about people's pets, they just want $$$$.

Finding a vet in the Bay Area with availability is difficult, which is why we ended up taking our newly adopted stray cat here in June 2022. While we were grateful at the time to just get her in anywhere, I now understand why this place had so many open appointments. They couldn't care less about my cat's health and were downright incompetent when it came to helping her when she was pregnant: we took her in several times from June-August 2022, and the vet tech doing the ultrasound commented that she "couldn't find heartbeats for the kittens", but she "wasn't the best at doing ultrasounds, so it's probably not an issue."When my cat started showing pregnancy complications (re: no heartbeats in the kittens), I took her in again. The vet told me she "needs surgery, ideally asap, but we don't have availability until next week, so you'll have to call around." There was literally no vet within a 100-mile radius of the Bay Area who had availability, and they basically said "not our problem!".All of the stress and heartbreak over losing kittens, and then almost losing our cat, could have been prevented if Emeryville Vet Hospital had competent and compassionate staff (thankfully my cat pulled through thanks to the amazing work of Feral Change).

The staff was very helpful in answering my questions and my listening to my concerns about my sick cat. It really took my worries away.

After an initial checkup for my dog, he needed a teeth cleaning, possible extractions and a really bad ear infection. I made an appointment 3 weeks later to get the procedure done. When Lokai and I arrived the day to get the procedure done I had many questions and concerns for my dog. The staff was extremely helpful in answering my questions and my listening to my concerns. It really took my worries away. I picked up my dog several hours later and the staff treated me with the utmost respect. They kept me notified on his aftercare and answered all the questions that I asked. Everyone was very helpful and it was very nice of Dr. Anderson to keep me totally informed and even called me after his procedure to checkup on Lokai after we made it home. The vet bill was much less then the original estimate and the staff went over everything in regards to billing and my dogs healthcare. I would recommend them to anyone that owns a dog.

Pretty unreliable and unprofessional:a) They ask for credit card information over the phone to secure any appointments. Extremely insecure way to provide someone with your card information.b) Two of the resident doctors only work 1 out of the 5 working days - very limited availability.c) Because of limited availability, they pretty much refuse to approve medication requests from pharmacies - forcing you to buy from them at a ridiculous markup. My pet needed medication, and Dr. Sindhu did not approve it until 3 weeks after it was sent to them. I had to call and ask multiple times.d) The techs and receptionists are unreliable. On a number of occasions, I've been told I'll get a follow-up email or a call back and received nothing until I had to call and ask again.I know it's cheap and they might have openings for new clients but highly recommend you go elsewhere if you care about your pet's health.

We’ve been coming here for three years and have always had a great experience. We feel well taken care of by the staff and, most importantly, they’ve been kind and attentive to our dog who is extremely nervous during visits.

Always there when my critters start feeling bad. They are responsive to my requests for ordering prescription meds as well, although at times they don’t carry the prescribed meds they recommend.

I am so happy to have found such a wonderful Vet Clinic within walking distance of my house! Everyone there is very kind and my cat is now recovering nicely from having cancer surgery. I HIGHLY recommend them A+++++

Horrible horrible vet experience that I have ever had. The doctor ( female ) shows no professionalism what so ever. I went in for my dogs allergies and as soon as she walks in, she has her hands in her pocket and leans against the wall during the whole time of examination. She does not bother touching my dog or looking closely to examine the allergy spots. She even said "this is why I tell people not to adopt bulldog breeds because they have a lot of allergies." First of all, my dog is 6 years old and I went in looking for a solution for my dogs allergy reaction not to hear her opinion about people adopting bulldogs. After my first visit, I never went back because its not worth my time or money. Please read all the rest of the bad reviews here and go somewhere else for your loving pet.

Love the good people at Emeryville Vet Hospital for giving my Callie a same day appointment! This is usually impossible in the Bay Area. They were thorough, knowledgeable and very kind to both of us. They had us in and out in less than 45 minutes. The price was fair - less than I expected so win-win. Thank you all! ?

I felt safe bringing my Pup here, sometimes it feels like they just make up things wrong with you Pup just to charge you. Even tho that may not even be true about most places it feels that way because we see nothing wrong with out Pup like professionals do. This Vet made me feel good. I am still upset I can't talk to the Vet and be there with him, but at least he's taken care of.
