Nice location with plenty of options to choose from. I came in not expecting to get anything but ended up nabbing an activity book from the children's section for my toddler. Easy checkout with friendly customer service.

Knowledgeable staff, wide variety of books, novelty items, games and one of the last places you can still buy records (outside of record stores, obviously)! Plus, they validate parking which is a HUGE plus!

Would like more signage at the entrance, telling you where book genres are. Staff was amazingly helpful.

Holy moly. Forgot how much I love it there. AND the Starbucks is next level, it has a fake fire place and it’s upstairs. Journal selection is amazing

Love B&N! Adding a coffee shop and snacks were a genius move. It's a great daytime date move. If she's not into reading books,....then there's ya sign. ??

it's the only bookstore in Emeryville. the fireplace on the patio is cozy and inviting. the place can use more sitting space and chairs... I like how they rearranged the store and made it more roomier. Single benches would be nice

Nice selection of books, puzzles, and journals. It's nice that there's a Starbucks inside but unfortunately they've also added a toy section next to the kids' books. I'm sure this was a financial decision but it kind of messes with the vibe of going to the bookstore and not a toy store. No stars taken off for that, just a heads up to parents.

Beautiful book store with a large variety of books, gifts, toys, crafts, and magazines to choose from. Safe, reliable paid parking. The first 30 minutes are free!

I've been coming here for years, it's a wonderful place to get lost in books. However, the staff needs to pay more attention to rowdy kids and teenagers. There were two kids literally throwing multiple plushies at my head today, and the staff didn't do much about it once I told an employee. I've been hearing, "Please don't run." from one of the employees as if kids will listen when they obviously don't, so how about kicking them out before they hurt someone else? Please do better next time. Luckily, it was just plushies but my neck still aches from the force it was thrown by. FYI, I have chronic illnesses so this whole fiasco could've turned out a whole lot worse.
