I don't want to share the exact details publicly but I had a very awkward situation there while trying to help someone out and the staff were totally understanding, patient, and respectful in multiple directions.

There was nothing out of the ordinary in the store. I did go in and was able to be served immediately because there was only 1 person in the store. The clerk was nice and served us immediately.

The location at 40th and San Pablo is not the best. I usually try to go in and out quickly because employees probably have a lot to deal with. Even so, I have had many negative encounters with the employees who work there. The latest incident is one where the posted price is lower than the price that rang up. When I pointed out to the clerk, he said taxes, but that didn't take into the account the difference. When I pressed the fact that the price posted was lower, he asked another employee to check out the price. The other employee confirmed the posted price was lower. When I said I wanted the posted price since that is the legal price, the first employee went to check for himself. Even then, he very begrudgingly gave me the lower price. Be careful here! On the plus side, this experience means that I will reduce my junk food intake since I have no desire to go back to this place.

This place is never open when they are supposed to be open as confirmed by their management in reference to their listed 24 hours open they're never open rarely past 12:00 a.m.Now during the day the staff is great usually 95% of the time they're fun good listeners when it comes to your pizza when it comes to you asking where things are they know their stuff everything's cool but their night staff is a little bit shifty shady and sheisty and it's about 25% chance that you'll get that shifty shady when going anywhere during nightfall to this specific 7-ElevenAlso this place doesn't take EBT it is posted in written signs on the outside of the building and on their doors and whatnot but it's a little odd that they don't accept it and they haven't accepted it for as long as I can remember but I swear at first maybe a few years back they were accepting it anyway it's a little strange to me personally

Let's start with the parking lot is disgusting. Then you have to deal with being accosted by aggressive homeless people not just outside the store but inside as well. Standing in line forever waiting for people to choose a lottery ticket. Not worth it.
