We were greeted with smiles and seated at a table with a fabulous view. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious with a nod to the sea and forest. We enjoyed our food, the atmosphere and evening. We will return.

We walked in to this gem of a restaurant. The food was amazing with impeccable service. The staff were so friendly and courteous. It made our day. The food was eclectic and modern. We will come back to try rest of the food on their menu.

Food: The price of bread is tooo high! $24.00 for four people. ?immediately sets a vibe of lack of generosity on your part.Salads were five stars, I love the uni carbonara but the portion needs to be two big fork fulls larger, be generous, dessert my friends ordered sorbet a single small scoop is for people on a diet. Your portions are small but luckily and because of the chefs talent often delicious. Atmosphere: Cold and austere. pick some flowers from your extraordinary landscaping. Ditch the four top when you first enter too cold and in the entrance, We refused it and I saw another group look equally dismayed when offered the same table. I believe your table arrangement could be better thought out. I am a designer and my partner an architect we both concur you need some space management. The building has good bones but need warmth.Service is always wonderful and friendly five star. You have the makings of a superior restaurant but fall short on atmosphere this can be easily remedied and be more generous with your portions. start with a free something bread olives something. You give a free sweet when presenting the bill, a day a dollar over, the dinner is over offer something bin the beginning as a welcoming host. This warms up the vibe. I am rooting for you. We are locals this is our third visit we will come back.

Interesting menu with things you do not usually find. The staff was lovely...we worked with Sara. And the setting was nice overlooking the gardens.

I took my wife and son here to celebrate a very special day. This was our third time eating here, the first time since the new chef, and were very impressed with everything. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. Skylah (I hope I spelled it correctly) was extra helpful and made our visit very pleasant. We will be returning soon with friends, and would recommend The Greenwood Restaurant to anybody visiting the Mendocino coast.

Amazing food in a pristine environment. Seems brand new and I’m sure will be even more artwork and warmth when we return!

Had a great experience! Many vegetarian options and the presentation was top notch. Really friendly staff as well. The complimentary dessert in the end was the cherry on top.

First time at the Greenwood Restaurant- highly recommend! Avant-garde food that was still delicious and accessible for this Mac n cheese girl. Tremendous service. Well worth the cost, which can’t always be said of high-end restaurants.

We ordered several appetizers and enjoyed them all. I particularly loved the beet salad with blueberries and the butternut squash raviolis. The service was a highlight. Would definitely go back.

The restaurant is lovely and the views are to die for. The service was great. The sake we had was good and beautifully presented. We loved the squash soup but the luncheon sandwiches, pork buns and a fried chicken Korean sandwich had odd flavors. There is no Wifi.

Food and service are spectacular. On par with a San Francisco experience without the pomp and circumstance. Clean, delicious food. I had the miso marinated cod with potato foam. The foam wasn't foam so to speak, it was the silkiest most delicious potatoes I have ever had. My opinion on the atmosphere is they need more fabric on chairs, or something like that so it feels a bit warmer. All in all an excellent experience!

We came as a couple for New Years Eve 2023 for a 5 course holiday special. The restaurant is located in sacred rock in, nestled on a bluff over the sea. It has a well styled, modern minimalist vibe with lighting highly focused on the food. This is a foodies restaurant from the core...For special menus, the entire restaurant gets each dish at the same time (don't be late!), and this must allow them to give special attention to every dish for every course, because the food was absolutely stunning! ?Every dish was well constructed, involved stimulating contrasts, perfectly cooked, and just saturated with flavor:My favorite was the definitely lobster, it's very easy to overcook and lose the delicate flavor, but the whole dish oozed of lobster essence, in every bite. I suspect they did something truly genius like take the butter the lobster was poached in and crafted the sauce from that, or probably something more that I myself can't evision. This dish has become the gold standard of for which I will be judging lobster dishes moving forward. But that's not the say the rest weren't equally as delicious. The fillet mignon with shallot jam and a crispy mushroom on top was just a organismic combination (and that's only half the dish!). Creamy cauliflower mousse is a wonderful base for sterling caviar. Fresh, not fishy, ahi-tuna tartare melting in your mouth, crunching on the contrast of radish and peanuts. A fluffy parker roll leads the meal, complicated by a unique seaweed butter for you to discover...The serving sizes here aren't big. But they also aren't small. They are, in fact, almost too big, but not big enough to leave you feeling overstuffed. The chef here walks a fine line that I do hope he stays on... I recommend coming a bit hungry cause you are going to leave satisfied. You wouldn't want to miss out on the velvety panna cotta capped by kiwi and strawberry sorbet, with an ever so slight hint of celebratory new years champagne!Don't be surprised if this ends up on the michelin guide sooner rather than later. There is a quad digit meal or two from said guide that I've been less satisfied by. I do plan to stop by again next time I'm driving up the coast, this is a treat not to pass up!

A wonderful dinner and experience all around. Sarah was attentive, personable and a joy to have as our server. The food was beautifully presented and most importantly - delicious. We had the Parker house rolls with seaweed butter - the charred octopus , chicory salad and honey duck breast for dinner. Each one had a mix of unexpected ingredients that made for a flavor profile like no other - we call it a party in your mouth. The desserts were just as well thought out and delicious. For those we enjoyed the carrot cake and the PB+C. The chef has managed to take a spin on conventional dishes without making them too fussy or complicated. Basically - right on point. The only minor issue we had - it was quite cold when we arrived and the heavy iron chairs were cold, so we had to keep our coats on. I would highly recommend and we will be back.

Chef Ryan created an amazing culinary experience for our New Years Eve dinner. From start to finish it was a meal that we will remember fondly for a long time to come. Every course that came out was full of wonderful and intense flavors with absolutely perfect plating.
