This store has consistently given me trouble. Any form of return, is a hassle. Whether it is an online or in store purchase. Staff does not wish to assist. Price matching here is a problem. They also overcharge for bags when I use the drive up order. On every occasion, I am being charged for 10 bags, when I often order diapers and no bags are given to me. There is rarely a manager on the sales floor. The local number is basically not functioning and no one ever answers the phone. Skip this store and try to order online through target.com. It's unfortunate that this is the only Elk Grove location. It could really use improvements.

I am so upset, I was given two different gift cards for $50 for my 55th birthday in May by 2 different people and another one from someone else for Christmas for the the same amount that was purchased from this location and all 3 cards had a $0 balance on them when I went to make a purchase, which was super embarrassing as if I was a scammer. Along with that, when I informed the Manager of what happened she was really nice about it, and said this was something that had been happening but there wasn't anything they could do about. She told me to call the Target 800 number to file a claim and I did but it took month and a half to receive each gift card in the mail. The last one I mention I gave it back to the person who gave it to me so they can handle it but I told her, I was thankful for the card but because it was a Target card I was traumatized and afraid to use it, but gave to my husband to use and low and behold it happened again. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE TARGET GIFT CARDS HERE, because some how, some way they have been already used and I would hate for you to experience this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There has been a slight improvement in customer service. I still shop there, even though human resources refused to hire me. I can't even apply for a job there anymore they blocked me from filling out an application online because I complained to an outside source. Of course I don't care to work there anymore, haven't for several years. And look, I'm giving them my business by spending money constantly in their store. They missed out on a hard working, non lazy, considerate, loyal employee. They couldn't and wouldn't tell me why. Even a kind employee was confused why they wouldn't hire me, when she went to ask , she came back with a disappointed look on her face. She was mature aged like me. That was one time when they needed help during the holiday season and giving same day interviews. I suspected someone slandered my reputation.

This target location is very convenient. There is also a Starbucks inside which is a 2 for 1 for me. The employees are always kind and there is a good selection of just about everything (clothes, food, bath items etc. I rarely have to ask for things from the back or a different location. Target is getting a bit pricey but I like to pay for convenience and quality.

I love the location of this Target, conveniently located in the popular area of Elk Grove, nestled in a plaza among many other stores, including eateries nearby. Optical department is the best here, great team of doctors and staff. They are friendly, thorough and efficient. Drive up experience here is also great, never have to wait long unless it's during the holidays. However, I noticed this Target tend to be out of stock more often than other locations. I hope they find a solution for this. Clean store and competitive pricing, especially when there are sales and discount offers.
