“Right off the bat, I want to express just how amazing this store is! Nothing short of positive vibes and amazing energy from the employees of this fine establishment, to the pleasant ambiance the music and displays provide! Truly every time I come to this Fleet Feet location I leave fulfilled with my time there along with whatever I decided to purchase that day. I currently live in Stockton, CA, and though I have a “neighborhood” Fleet Feet nearby, I would much rather make the 40-50 minute drive to the Elk Grove location.

I would love to give a special shoutout to Daniel, the employee that has helped me out the most over my few visits. Daniel is the definition of a charismatic and hard working employee! I feel more knowledgeable whenever Daniel helps me with picking out my next walking/ running shoe, new athletic apparel, and even inserts for my work shoes. I also find the technology that Daniel uses to see how my gait has improved very interesting, especially since Daniel takes the time to explain the fine details to me and how it all works!

I tend to be very particular about what shoes I pick, and especially have a hard time being comfortable with shoe inserts. Luckily Daniel was able to change my mind, as when I purchased a pair of Hoka Bondi SR’s. Daniel recommended I use the Currex insole, which added even more comfort to an already amazing choice of leather work shoes. I am very happy that I went out of my comfort zone and trusted Daniel with this amazing recommendation! Because of his attentiveness and amazing shoe advice, I now tell all of my friends and family to head to this location and ask for dan if they have any shoe needs or issues!

“Walked in to the store today to get me some new work boots and immediate greeted by Kelly and the other gentleman, I didn’t get his name cuz he was with another customer. Kelly asked me if I knew what kind of boots I wanted, if I had any questions about any of the boots and even asked me if I wanted to get sized by their machine to make sure I had the right sizes. She was very helpful and was super patient with me when I had to spend hella long logging into my union site to prove I was an active member since I forgot my union card. “The store has a variety of items and often has a sale. They have so much stuff on clearance although not organized. The staff are friendly and presents with a smile. One of my favorite stores for buying baby clothes, affordable, great prices, sales, and lots of options”

“I bought three pairs of shoes in 2023 and they were all flip flops. I haven't bought shoes in person for years but ordered online. I felt it was time to go back to brick and mortar for my first big shoe shopping foray in quite a while. I brought my Dad who needed new shoes also with me. This location is right on the corner of Bruceville and Laguna in Elk Grove in the large shopping center anchored by Target. There is ample parking and you can locate the store by a large noodle restaurant and a Ross. It had been years since I had gone to a DSW and this location was a big upgrade from the one I'd been to in Reno, NV. It's less of a warehouse and more like a really huge self-serve shoe store. They even have carpet, soft lighting, and ample seating to try on your choices. A big switch from the concrete floor and warehouse lighting of the store I'd visited years ago. Once I got Dad settled, I went to the women's area. There were so many shoes, and a nice size range for most choices. There is also a lot of discounts with price points from high 20's to mid 100's. The store was very well organized, and has a large kids' section. I tried on some flats and then on a whim tried on some suede Doc Martens that I loved. Don't be alarmed, the higher priced shoes are only one in the box in the store floor and an associate will need to get you the matching pair in the storeroom. As I told you, it's been years since I've been in a shoe store so I needed to get with the program! The purchase itself went smoothly and I received a 20% discount for joining DSW rewards. The lady who helped me was very efficient, pleasant, and helpful. They have a 90 day return policy if the shoes are in their original box and are only worn indoors. They also have an order online/store pickup option. Turns out my Dad found two pairs and now has a great pair of high-tops and Adidas slides. My shoes felt great from the get-go and I even wore them in Costco without issue. These will definitely be staying with me!”
